Seen here in Leeds now working with Skills on route 240 this coach as operated with 4 operators on the National Express network
Had a fantastic afternoon with an old buddy (well he's not that old) called Charlie, down by the riverside, waiting for a King Fisher to show us his impeccable skill of fishing.....priceless!
This shot was taken after 5 hours and fast deteriorating light (ISO 4000)....reminds me of a certain Red Squirrel hunt!
Thanks for looking folks.
Here’s the same location at Chilwell Olympia again, just stood at the roadside rather than on the bridge. On this occasion I’d gone for the CT4N Omnidekka again and missed it, but as a consolation I got a Levante in Skills livery, which I’d only previously seen as a National Express.

The intention of the day wasn’t to go finding different coaches belonging to Skills, yet I came away with three! They were all different types and all different colours too; when I was at the A52 in Bramcote executive black liveried SIL 7948 came by, apparently off to the Cavern Club, Liverpool and Mersey Ferry?!

Royal Ascot 2019

Mark’s pipetting skills are through the roof! Well not literally. It’s crazy how being an astronaut makes you learn and do so many different things. Mark was working on NASA's Celestial immunity experiment, that requires astronauts to be adept at the laboratory skills... in microgravity! The experiment designers do everything they can to make it as easy as possible as we are not experienced lab workers, but we do what is required, and this is why we spend so much time training for our flights.

Did some study on how to get a correct exposure recently base on the meter in our camera. It look simple, but to master the it seems not that easy.
What i know about photography now is very elementary. I have to increase my knowledge so as to improve my skill especially on exposure.
I would like to thank my friend Toonman for lending some of his book on photography.
I may share some of my reading here if possible.
This picture was processed in HDR with three exposures. HDR does help in producing a nice picture, but i tell myself i must master the technique of photography one day instead of staying at shooting and deleting level......
My first exposure for this shot was good enough, but the high contrast of the spot light make a mile over exposure at the lower part of the building. So i down one to two stop for the other two exposures and here is the final result.
A surprise purchase in my opinion is that of a brand new Enviro 400 MMC for Skill's, which will be used on school runs and Private Hire work!!
Having a chat to Calum, it now makes sense on the Private Hire front, but the little darlings on school work I'm a bit sceptical about....
SN17MVV looks a bit pimpin' at Autokarna, the only E400 MMC I've come across yet with tinted windows!!

Seen here waiting at the lights on Cranbrook Street is Skills Coaches BV71 HZA, advertising that Skills are recruiting - or "recru" as it is seen on the scrolling display. If the board in the windscreen can be believed, this is school route 362.

Former Tayside Volvo Ailsa seen with Skills, Nottingham in April 1991. It had arrived here from Stagecoach, whom I presume had placed its original registration of LES45P on retention.
It is seen at the operators St Peters Street garage in Nottingham wearing the insipid green colour scheme used at that time by Skills.
