Work continues on OpenEmu and its new front-end. The guys wrapped up (nearly) an interim bug fix release and other things in preparation for the new UI. I say nearly because Josh is trying to compile a public download of that which should drop soon.
Anyway, back to this screenshot. You can see some improvements right? The bottom toolbar is virtually complete with buttons, search bar and grid resize slider (that needs some work).
Grid view background is in place now with the spotlight and the noise pattern. The boxes themselves are 'real' meaning it is pulling in actual data now which includes the box art. (Still a slight problem with the gloss effect & spacing).
Oh and also note we have 'Collections' too, which I wasnt sure would make this release. Collections are effectively like playlists in iTunes... WIN!.
This is a preview on Lion for testing purposes. The scrollbars are mangled but trust me it looks good in Leopard. We will drop the scrollbars in Lion of course... such a shame as the metal scrollbar thumb and the metal header were a nice combo. (If you dont have a mighty mouse or magic trackpad you'll still get scrollbars in Lion)
I'll post some List view and even CoverFlow views sometime soon... they are looking sweet too! :).
I've used a standard 3,5 cm (1 ½ inch) tea light candle for size reference.
I don't know if it works or not. The candle looks to big, but that can be due to the angle of the picture. Think I will have to try some more.
The tea lights seem to be pretty universal in size though. (I know there are bigger ones, but these guys seem to be all over the world.)
From left to right: Momoko, vintage Francie, vintage Skipper, Blythe
Anything vintage Skipper (1963 to around 1990) will fit Blythe. By the mid 90s, Mattel changed Skipper to Teen Skipper and she became more Barbie size, which confuses a lot of people. Stick to the years above, and you're likely to be OK.
Since the Super 4 Heros are supposed to be younger i was looking if they where smaller.
But they have almost the same height as the Adults.
I reallythink the Playmobil World needs Kids between the Childs and Adults.
The Dwarf has the right height but his arms are to long and the Torso is to big.
It could pass as an fat Kid! ^^
I really hope Playmobil will make Teenagers like 10 to 13 Years old.
The Playmobil Children look to much like 4 to 6 Years old.
My uncle Rick gave Hope a tennis ball giant enough for her to have fun with but not (immediately) chew up and eat. Fun!
