Lush Bath Bomb.
For Macro Mondays Theme 'Single Use'
This bomb is barely 1cm across, it's on a mirror, the water is about 1mm deep.
The bomb soaked the water up pulling it away from the edge of the mirror while the fizzing was pushing the water outwards, hence the weird looking ripples - I'd hoped it would form a more uniform blob, but what can you do? 😆
The light is coming from your left, with 2 sheets of yellow & blue plastic off to your right for the funky reflection.

Some left over birthday party cups make for a nice abstract image.

Now i think I'll mix us all a few vodka martinis and spear an olive or two.

When I saw that Macro Mondays theme was Single Use, I immediately thought of these cotton pads I am using to clean a sticky eye at the moment.
Each pad is 2" in diameter, but this is some of the pack carefully squeezed out to get the curved landscape. I am imagining our local Sussex Downland covered in snow, which may well have happened today, but sadly didn't. Wednesday is possible though!
It is still pretty cold out today.
The field of view is approximately 1" across.
This photo is a composite of 30 raw files. The lighting was two LED puck lights. I used a 10mm extension tube. The width of the bean group is approximately 1 inch in length.
'Karakuchi' means dry in Japanese.
Asahi's famous "Super dry" beer is indeed very refreshing and enjoyable.
Once the cap has popped, you'll most probably discard it and concentrate on the flavor of your drink.
So very much "single use" indeed.

For Macro Mondays "Single Use". I really like mirrorless cameras except for the dust on the sensor. I find it's a problem with long exposures and/or small apertures.

Before 2020, whenever you traveled to France by car you needed to have an alcohol test with you. So when you were stopped by the French police they could ask you to perform the test, using your own stock. Since 2020, however, this not longer obligatory. The test I captured expired in 2019.
It seems strange to go to the effort of printing an image on the foil cap of wine bottles, which then gets torn off and thrown away!
