Found while picking up litter. Captured for Macro Mondays theme: Single Use.
And for Color My World Daily (Red Day on Monday),
Disclaimer: Just to be clear, this is not from Stu or his son, it's strictly one of those strange Flickr coincidences.
Well I guess a wishbone fits the Macro Mondays theme of "Single Use" and a chicken wishbone meets the size requirement, this one measures 2.5 inches.
Technical Tid Bit: You would think that this would be an easy subject to focus stack with not much subject overlap but for the life of me I couldn't get anything to work. It was worse than the tootsie roll lollipop I did about a year ago. I don't know why, but vertical lines just seem to foil the alignment software in PS and just will not stack. I even shot a 62 layer stack and wound up throwing it away with the other failures. I added in other objects to help the software but nothing seemed to work, then I decided to back off with the 55mm and do a three layer stack on the front leg and three layers on the back, stack them separate and integrate in post. I ran the alignment and stacking routine and to my surprise the stack worked fairly well. I then went back over and fixed the bad areas with a little cut, paste and blend. At last, my first wishbone image!!!

Isopropyl alcohol wipes, intended for first-aid purposes but come in handy for cleaning tasks, too. Use once, then toss in the trash, not the toilet; a recent label update has a prominent DO NOT FLUSH warning with a larger pictograph since the fabric does not decompose and can clog drains or become a nuisance at sewage treatment plants.
(To be honest, the sheets are duds because the alcohol evaporated from failing to close the lid tightly. Oops.)
Lollipop sticks are usually a single use item that is discarded (Hopefully into a waste bin.) once the lolly has been finished.
These coloured lollipop sticks are primarily used for crafting, however I have used them for photography a few times, even this time I have kept the half sticks for future use.
This 1 inch lensball is showing an inversed image of lollipop sticks stuck to an old CD. The CD is 1.5 inches behind the lensball, the result reminds me of an eyeball.

The eggshell is only used once - the chick needs to break out of it with its tooth (which is also a single use item that falls off after a couple of days) or other animals will crack it to get to the food inside.

It is certainly a chair and you can imagine its a wall of carefully stacked tin cans. But not so!
I've used a piece of packing from the bottom of a box of chocolates to provide this backdrop. The miniature chair is to provide a setting, some colour, and some reflection in the bubble packing piece.
All quickly set up although I did use a tripod and this is one of four photographs taken - not the first either. Lit with a couple of desk lights as I usually do.

Especially when humans have only two 👂👂ears, this image is of 3 orange ear protectors, created for MM this week with a topic of single use items.
Ear protection is vital to maintain good hearing.
I photographed this image on a mirror, the blue background is the blue sky reflected.
These orange ear protectors are small only measuring 1 inch high x 0.5 inch at its widest diameter.
To use .... it's advisable to roll them up into a crease-free cylinder and insert into your ear then hold in ear until the plug expands, then you are protected,
I only used natural sunlight to achieve this image.
Love & Peace Everyone! 😍
The "muselet" is the wire cap that holds in place the cork of sparkling wine bottles like Champagne or, in this case, Crémant from the Alsace region.
There is no way that you could put back the cork into a bottle once it has been opened. By extension, the "muselet" is therefore also a single-use object.

Single use toothpicks being well guarded by an orange tabby for the Macro Mondays challenge: "single use."
Area shown is about 65mm wide.
Happy Macro Monday!
A vertical shot of a container of wooden toothpicks. I kind of liked the black & white version and then went crazy with a hue shift to come up with the blue version.
GROUP: MACRO MONDAYS
THEME: SINGLE USE
SUBJECT: A MINI SODA CAN
(top of can is exactly 2" in diameter)
I've given up sodas years ago but once in a while I buy a mini soda can just to satisfy the craving (about once a month).
The 1/16/23 Macro Mondays theme is Single Use, and since each pill can be used only once, I figure they're right for the theme.
I was reading this week's theme for the Macro mondays group, it was about single use items, I saw some examples and this one fit perfectly with what I like to do, so, I couldn't resist! I bought plastic straws so I could make this, so we'll have some of them for a while.....😄

Of my kitchen tools, the toothpicks I use when I make cakes or muffins (to know if they are done).
These days one time use, disposable tableware is used on tables much more often than formal china, sterling silver flatware and crystal drinkware, especially when dinner comes out of a paper bag from a drive through window instead of the oven. For the Crazy Tuesday challenge: Tableware.
Happy Crazy Tuesday!
