These fabulous hot pink lilies are a Southern favorite in September. They pop up without warning like little firecrackers. It seems we 4get about them until after the yard man has already mowed them down...this year 1 survived.

I went to a pumpkin patch and saw that someone had put a single pumpkin on a stump and for some reason that caught my eye. This is a shallow depth of field photograph.

This is a single mother(jeannet) with her two years old child. She was abandoned by both her parents, the boy who imprignanted her and rejected by the society only because the concived due to inadquate information about family planning. She is now emplyed by Cup for Africa Mission as a "house mother" at the orphanage home.

Welcome to the Virtual Aquarium. This is one of a set of pictures specifically intended to be viewed as a whole, in slideshow form.

Beyond being a group of pictures, I am conducting an experiment here. I have always noticed that watching fish has a calming and soothing effect on me as well as others. Please come as often as you wish, especially when you are feeling tense or need to relax for a moment, and escape your concerns for a minute or three. Pictures will be added, omitted and rearranged periodically, so it might be different the next time you visit.

I would appreciate you taking a moment to comment as to how you were effected by the aquarium at any given time. Please leave your notes and thoughts with the set, rather than on "individual" items. (That's okay too, but I am very interested to know your feelings about the whole!)

Pre paint, port engine. I switched from Squaron Putty to Tamiya Polyester Putty during the build and here are some of the results. It's very smooth, but I can see the lines and some pits from the Squadron stuff. The plan is to paint it all with a single coat of Testors Light Ghost Gray (like the painting instructions say to) and see what really pops up, then putty and sand.

I dithered about this step and decided to go ahead and piece all the major parts together and go for a more even paint layer. Even though it's going to make sanding harder, it should all come out in the end.
