Anyone got any clue as to what this is? It grows in these clumps here in Berkeley, California. I seem to recall that I first saw it last year and thought it could be dill or something like that, because of the leaves, but I can't discern any scent.
Singles events at wineLA are about the wine... and the rest is chemistry.
AT our first event - here are the rules...
You must be single, like wine, and live in the greater Los Angeles area. All ages 28-55 are welcome.
Gentlemen - You’ll be sponsoring the dinner, as your ticket purchases a fine dining experience for two individuals.
Ladies - Your ticket is "complimentary" but you'll be providing the wine*
*To qualify/get your ticket issued to you, your bottle must have a minimum retail value of $75 or more (before tax), and it must be confirmed/catalogued by wineLA seven (7) days before the event. You can do this in one of two ways:
1. Purchase your bottle via Merchant of Wine (click here)
2. You can select your own wine, have it approved by the wineLA team (phone/email), and drop it off at the wineLA office at 530 Molino St. #219, Los Angeles CA 90013
Further details about the wine
If you use Merchant of Wine to supply your wine for the dinner, the wine will be a surprise! Your bottle will be curated and selected by wine host, aficianado, and event producer Ian Blackburn.
If you choose to select your own wine and drop-off your bottle at the wineLA office, please follow these rules:
Your wine must have a minimum retail value of $75 or more (before tax).
It can be any grape varietal and style from anywhere in the world!
You don't need to know the details concerning the wine, but the bottle should be of interest and something you would be proud to have presented by the wine host at the dinner.
Once your wine is confirmed, your ticket code will be issued to you via email and you'll be able to officially register/sign-up for the event.
Further details about the dinner
The dinner is limited to 10 men and 10 women. We cannot promise a perfect match, but we can promise a well-organized, fun, exciting, and entertaining gathering. The event is hosted by a wine educator who will lead the blind-tasting games over the 3-course dinner and evening revelry. The cuisine is flexible to meet all dietary restrictions and needs. Petrossian's famous Caviar is not included, but is an "add-on" option that you may choose to select at the restaurant.
Gentlemen - Tickets are $195 (tip for the host is collected additionally at the restaurant) and includes a prix-fixe, multi-course dinner. Your ticket sponsors a female guest. Although the women are providing the wine, you’re welcome to come with a bottle as well - No one ever complained about too much wine! Dining at Petrossian alone, you are likely to spend close to this amount, considering that the wine is included. Our goal is to make this a great value and an entertaining way to meet a few new, potentially like-minded, wine-loving friends!
Petrossian is an incredible restaurant and wineLA's goal is to bring great people together. Tell your friends! The audience is what this is all about! Wonderful cuisine, wine, service, education and entertainment, and the magic will unfold naturally!
I'm not quite sure what happened to the father here or if wood duck fathers don't stick around but I haven't seen him since the little ones were born.
In August 2016, my sister made a long-awaited return home to Nepal after two decades of working abroad. Her arrival sparked a joyous reunion as family members celebrated her homecoming and reminisced about the years spent apart. Eager to make the most of our time together, we organized a family picnic at atop Eastern hills, Pokhara called "Tiger Top" during the vibrant summer season. I captured a picture during this golden moment, symbolizing the significance of trees in the ecosystem.

NEOBALLS / ZEN MAGNETS - Neodymium Magnetic Balls (@216) - Single Set Cycle
(@216) - The all chrome version is exactly one set or 216 magnets.
(@220) - The color version has a 4-ball extension on the front to make it more chopper like.
Nice small scale challenge to get the distinctive shape and enough detail to make it distinguishable.

The image for this cover was taken from an A.D.S speakers advert between 1980 and 1982, with a green tint added. The object in the bed next to the unnamed model is a speaker.
