Paddlers line up single file to squeeze through a passage on a creek that feeds into Scappoose Bay.

This photo is my single light studio shot. I chose to shoot my friend, Lesly. I shot this image in front of the grey backdrop in class, and used the white light on the left side of her face. I took the white umbrella off of the white light and faced it towards her face from the left side. I then connected the flash to my camera for increased light in the image. After putting my camera on manual and adjusting my shutter speed and aperture, I shot a little over 100 shots before deciding on this image. I then edited the contrast and exposure of this image in Bridge (camera raw) and then opened it in Photoshop. In Photoshop, I edited the shadows and highlights, as well as the vibrance. Overall, I am very satisfied with this image.

These fabulous hot pink lilies are a Southern favorite in September. They pop up without warning like little firecrackers. It seems we 4get about them until after the yard man has already mowed them down...this year 1 survived.

So Cal Single Speed Championship

I went to a pumpkin patch and saw that someone had put a single pumpkin on a stump and for some reason that caught my eye. This is a shallow depth of field photograph.

NEOBALLS / ZEN MAGNETS - Neodymium Magnetic Balls (@216) - Single Set Cycle

(@216) - The all chrome version is exactly one set or 216 magnets.

(@220) - The color version has a 4-ball extension on the front to make it more chopper like.

Nice small scale challenge to get the distinctive shape and enough detail to make it distinguishable.

Welcome to the Virtual Aquarium. This is one of a set of pictures specifically intended to be viewed as a whole, in slideshow form.

Beyond being a group of pictures, I am conducting an experiment here. I have always noticed that watching fish has a calming and soothing effect on me as well as others. Please come as often as you wish, especially when you are feeling tense or need to relax for a moment, and escape your concerns for a minute or three. 1943 North American B-25H Barbie III

The B-25H was an improved version of the B-25G. The fixed nose armament was increased to four nose-mounted .50-cal. machine guns and four more .50-cal. machine guns in fuselage mounted pods. The 75mm cannon was changed from the G model's M4 to the lighter T13E1 75mm cannon. The top turret was moved to the forward fuselage and the lower turret was removed and replaced by a single .50-cal. machine gun in each of the two waist positions. A tail turret housing a pair of .50-cal. machine guns was added bringing the firepower total to 14 .50-cal. machine guns and a 75mm cannon. The aircraft could also carry up to 3,200 pounds of bombs.
