The jig you use is just a hub. Take your time and get them as straight as possible before you tack weld them into the frame.
It was great! What an experience it was! We travelled down to Silverstone but my Single-Seater Experience (courtesy of my wife) was not due to start until late in the afternoon. So, we booked a room at a local venue for the night and made a day out of it and tagged it on to the start of our annual holiday. The weather couldn’t have been better. Approaching the circuit the adrenaline started to flow, screaming tyres and the raw of engines revving filled the air and I’d still got a few hours to kill. I didn’t know how I was going to last! After booking in, time was spent viewing other experiences taking place (Lotus, Aston Martin and other “hot rides” etc). Conscious of the fact I couldn’t afford to eat too much as the extra weight would interfere with my lap times, a little light lunch was needed. At the forefront of my mind was my single-seater experience. My time fast approached and soon enough there I was (race driver for the day) sat in my cockpit waiting behind the pace car for my thrill to begin! Then it was Go! Go! Go! I could remember my brother telling me from his experience a year ago to push the pace car, so that’s what I did. Just doing that, the heart rate and blood pressure started to rise! I held back a couple of times then on the straight and the odd bend I floored it. Oh boy! After a few laps it was back in the pits. Everything OK? Are you ready to go it alone? Too right I was! Then “now’s your chance to shine” I thought to myself and away I went! The power of the cars felt tremendous and it was such a pleasure not worry about on-coming traffic or 5 points on your license! We’re not racing of course, it’s an experience! RIGHT! In my mind: now don’t forget you only have two overtaking spots so let’s go for it. Right, let’s catch the driver up in front. Oh words just aren’t enough! Am I going to have enough time to get past before I reach my breaking point for the next corner, yes, yes ,yes! What a fantastic day out, I never shut up talking about it! I was on such a high it was unreal. Highly recommended, best value for money experience I have ever had and can’t wait to do it again!! Thanks to all the staff for making my experience one I will never forget!

The trophy for Best Single Combat in the Military theme at Bricks by the Bay 2014, August 10th in Santa Clara, California.
The trophy features a U.S. marine and a Japanese island defender locked in combat. When the marine's Garand jams, the defender sees an opportunity, draws his katana (a family heirloom, and not one of the mass-produced swords issued by the imperial government), and charges. The marine can only draw his combat knife and hope for the best....
Brighton Corporation's ten OYJ-R Leyland Atlanteans were delivered as double door but in the late eighties 67 was converted to single door layout. It looks like the late Charlie Smith at the wheel in this March 1992 view.

San Francisco Municipal Railway ("Muni") # 1071, a single-ended St. Louis Car Co. PCC, works an SRO (Standing Room Only) run of the F Market & Wharves line in front of the Ferry Building on The Embarcadero in San Francisco, CA. Taken by a Nikon D40x with a Sigma 17-70mm ƒ 2.8-4 OS HSM macro lens. (at 17)
# 1071 has been returned to the livery it was originally delivered in, that of Minneapolis-St. Paul, which ran this car from its manufacture in 1946 until 1953.
# 1071 was acquired by the Muni in 2004 to accomodate the expansion of the F Market to the F Market & Wharves. The Muni bought it from the Newark, NJ transit system, which had run the car since 1953. The car was being restored from 2004 until 2011...

Monday morning musings… Is it Summer yet?
Great blog
I am not all that excited about modern vehicles, but when I laid eyes on bus line 303's layout on the schematics in Brno, I just wanted to go and see it – and take a snap of course.
In this image one of the fresh Solaris Urbinos of DPMB is passing with the Brno Reservoir (Svratka River) in the background.
One single leaf flies through the pristine Fall air. I don't know when I have felt a nicer Fall day. It's a good day to be alive.

8th October Single In October challenge.
Yesterday, I learned with the Auto-Takumar 55mm f2, that the lighter parts of objects behind glass "wipe out" the reflections in that glass, but leave reflections elsewhere.
So here is an attempt to take this technique a step further at Chiswick House, five minutes walk from home and a great source of inspiration/luck. This was taken through the glass of the back door of the House, looking across the Hall to the front door. The beautiful gardens, grass, trees, statues etc. are reflected behind me.
