Singers Glen was settled in 1809 by Joseph Funk, a German Anabaptist, fleeing persecution in his homeland of Alsace-Lorraine. Funk established a hymn publishing company in 1832, which began publishing the "Harmonia Sacra," the oldest continuously used hymnal in the United States. Shown here is the village Post Office.
