To make this a real simulation I think they should kick the wind speed up to 140mph, add some water and then trap the person in this chamber for at least 8 hours. That would be a real simulation.
I took some instrument refresher training in this flight simulator at Wright Flyers Aviation, San Antonio, Texas.
The cockpit has a interchangeable throttle quandrants to help simulate many different aircraft types. Note working Garmin 430 gps.
