Yesterday while visiting a butterfly exhibit with my daughter and her friend I came across a quote that I've never heard before. “The secret of change is to focus all your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new.” ― Dan Millman I love this because there is no need to stay locked in whatever has happened before and is now holding you back. Release that energy and have it help move you forward. Change! It is my word of the year and I need to stay working towards that goal. Are you staying focused on your goals this year? If not, why? Are they really something you want?

This is how I feel when I look out my window towards my garden every morning. The plant is another beautiful spring wildflower in my garden called the Celandine Poppy. I love it's cheery yellow bloom but sometimes keeping it simple and looking more closely at just the light it captures and the textures of the plant gives me a more calming feeling. Happy Monochrome Monday!

My motivation on this morning was the pristine blue sky, and the earthy hues along the river. A little ice and snow along the bank, and puffy clouds floating in the northwest breeze.
It's the season between, waiting for winter, but enjoying autumn as it changes before our eyes . . .

I tried number of complicated set ups today, but none of them made me happy. In the end I chose this single Aster flower from the garden, because I love the colour, and photographed it on a simple piece of white perspex. The flower is ⅞" across at its widest point.
For this week's Macro Mondays group theme, Reflection.
I took this photo of a beautiful flower in my garden and I just love the simplicity of this photo showing just the flower without any background distractions. I was once told that sometimes less is more and this photo for me is a perfect example of that saying. For me just showing the flower on its own is more beautiful than having it surrounded by other flowers as it makes it stand out.
Simplicity is the queen of writing with light, The origin of the term photography is known to everyone, from Greek phos (genitive photos) light and graphia by graphos drawing, painting, representing.
Light becomes a sign, representation is therefore the simple vision of reality.
A great photographer in the history of photography said:
"Photography is like a joke, if it's bad, you have to explain it."
The simplest is the more visible.
A photo is a story, you do not have to explain it, the elements are lost.
I do not teach, do not determine, I do not recommend.
These are the least acquisitions I have given value over time, I mainly photograph for me.
In my last one I am adopting a micro movement.
I do not like the noise, I do not like it in any way, exaggerations, exaggravations, urlings, corrections and adjustments; That if they find their right space in photography, they will come.
It's life that I talk about, it's not life play.
I will not explain anything anymore, they are my last photos to talk, even so to say, snobed.
You did not really understand, maybe you think, gold is the one of you, but that is not the case.
The title, for example, embracing children, was a different start.
The noise on Sunday was nothing, at that moment when I shot it was the photograph I was interested in.
I do not like the noise, yet I work in deafening noise.
Some people laugh, when at some point, I'm gone, at least who knows me. It is a smile of tenderness.
I notice when, I punch them out ... By good scorpion as I am.
But as they say, good and bad.
You see when a disapproval is used to make you understand the good you have.
I could be more explicit kids, if there were chips flying here and it was only seven in the morning.
I killed you, I know.
But I usually do it, just to jokes that no one understands, I hope they understand at least the picture, the simplest of it is impossible; Next time the cloudless shot.

Druridge Bay - Northumberland, great beach on the Northumberland Coast, very little in the way of foreground stuff to photograph but quit liked these 3 stones buried in the sand, sky lit up for literally 5 minutes, enugh time to get this shot

Just really liked the simplicity in this with the blue tones and the single mangrove :-)
this was taken 19 minutes after sunrise and well before all the colour started to appear in the sky as seen in the last upload.
