Tonight's image was shot in the town of Greece, Monroe County in upstate New York, near Lake Ontario. We were visiting my daughter and her husband up there in May.
While visiting, we were in search of places to photograph and I had heard about an area called Braddock Bay WMA, which is quite unique in that its a WMA with a rural area. As we drove around the area, stopping for a variety of small wildlife and birds, I happened to notice that the air was quite still. On one of the lakes that comprise the area, the homes that lined the shore were reflected with perfection onto the water's surface.
I love this image (OK, it's actually Tom's image) because of the simplicity that for me it represents. The area was so laid back, quiet, and serene - a far cry from where I reside locally in south Florida - with its crowds, development, and hustle/bustle about it. The air was cool and crisp - without the heaviness of the humidity I reside in also. Yes, it was quite literally a contrast in terms from what I call home.... and I liked it!
I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend in store for them. I hoping for a bit of a laid back one myself. :-). Thanks for stopping by to view and for all of your comments.

This was taken without any much of make-up like how real models in magazines do.
But with just a little talc powder, a simple blush-on, and a bit of a simple lipstick for young teens. But still she look amazingly pretty to me. This is how I define beauty.. just being simple and innocent.
My own approach to "decorating." I prefer open spaces to clutter. I do not hang pictures, I don't do knick-knacks, but find me a good nest and a couple of skulls, and I'm good to go.
This is my best example of simplicity. I really like how it's in portrait mode so it is focused on the rock, showing all of the lines in the carving. I used contrast to try and get more details in the face.
What a cute pattern with lots of choices... I especially love the knickers! How cute they would be for Christmas for a little boy!

Needed some fresh air and milk for my coffee. Perfect excuse for a trip down the street in -10.
This is a tree branch, btw. Shot with much bodily engagement and snow falling down my backside in the local cemetery. Thankfully, cemetery completely deserted and oh so peaceful, almost magical, in this weather.
