Something I would expect from my Uncle Tony, perhaps? He is a serious man that always has been a very serious photographer. I remember posing for family holiday shot 25 years ago that took more than half an hour and finally was canceled due to uncontrollable mountain goats... Not fun for a kid.
Built over Christmas. Powered by a 3v electric motor and gearbox (GBP10 from Maplin) and carries a Pentax Optio S10 camera. It should rotate at just under 2rpm

Some of my earliest memories are of casual outings my mom used to plan for our family--cherished experiences that opened my eyes to the everyday beauty that surrounds us and the simple pleasures that bring me joy...moments I now love sharing with my own daughter.

I traced the dogbones in the original pattern with a fat purple pen which bled through the paper. Flipped the paper over and then drew simple lines from one dogbone to the next. The original pattern was full of loopy swirly lines.
You can see my HandiQuilter's bright laser light in the bottom right line, just to the right of the red ink registration circle.

This is made of two steel plate facing each other with nails welded to each side. Children drop small stones into this and they bounce off the nails as they fall, making surprisingly beautiful sounds. There is a "guard" row of small bars surrounding it to keep larger objects from falling in and getting stuck.
