curated by Tanushree Biswas

Annas Kafé 20 August 2013 18 hrs
It is a multisensorial performance poetry act in 5 chapters which will involve audience participation. Sara Maino calls it 'A kind of restoration of the sensorial relationship of the people with the city.' In other words Sara talks about using our senses to reconnect with and simply love where we are.
About the artist:
Sara Maino is an international artist/researcher from Trentino,
Northern Italy. She has been writing since the age of 10 and her fascination with theater led her to co-found the company Teatro per Caso (Theater by Chance) in 1996. Sara has been researching people's memories and sounds of the landscape since 2005 which are also part of her current collaboration with Rai Radio 2 . Her work ranges from poetry, video, theater, site-specific installations and radio to projects of solidarity in India, Palestine, Balkans and Caucasus.

This large steel turnbuckle is one of a few that hold a suspension bridge over this tranquil river scene in the background.
An easy leather shader I made using a leather black and white bump map and a rough glossy coating shader. I also used the black and white bump map as a factor value to mix the colors of the leather. The colors, bumpiness, variation of colors, and the glossiness is all customizable.

Wig making exercise for crochet Bleuette. These four wigs are all made from mohair yarn, and are quite simple. By using a yarn with a high mohair content, you let the yarn do most of the work!
The cap fits snug, and is not sewn down. This way, Bleuette can change her hair with her outfit :-)
Pattern for these four wigs will be freely available on my blog soon.

Taken at Aria in City Center in front of the awesome water fall wall thing.
I finally went and shot with my new camera!! :) Again, we headed down to the Strip. Me and my friend Toni went for like 6 hours just messing around and taking photos like crazy. We hit every major hotel from City Center down to the Venetian. Long but crazy fun day! :)
{Make a photograph of a beautiful simple shape, such as an egg, today. Utilize lighting and focus to make it sing.}
My simple shape today is "oval". This is a Blue Topaz stone that my Grandmother bought me back in 1991 while she was on a Carnival Cruise. Can't decide if I wanna make it a ring or a necklace. Probably just gonna put it back in my jewlery box for another 15 years! lol

Hadley~Caprice wearing a new dress that arrived yesterday....we love it! Goes perfect with Mabs lil' cameo too! :)
I am simple. Not simple in the slang and not simple as in an easy going person. I just mean that I don't really require diamonds and flowers or even guitars or cameras for my maintenance and upkeep.
You can make me happy with a feather.
A friend once sent me the fang of a tarantula and a red feather from her macaw. My husband has famously brought me dead animals and bones and feathers, like this one, fresh from the park yesterday morning.
A blue jay feather. Bold and beautiful.
I like to have my guitar at the ready, and no one can love my camera and my laptop like I do. And I like my bed just so and complete silence during The Good Wife. I don't like my broccoli cooked to mush or cut up small. And I kind of like it when you do what I say when I say it.
Otherwise, I'm pretty simple. I'm a pretty easy-to-please person.
What I like most—more than my favorite beer in the fridge, though that's really high on the list—are feathers.
I also like friends. And I love that I don't have to rely on just one.
Friends. And feathers.
And beer, cameras, guitars, dogs—I forgot dogs, the f-word, birds, and flowers in my house. And spring. I really like spring.
Simple, really.
Are those lights supposed to look like a meat packing warehouse? The walls were bare, minus the many hooks (as used by one patron's umbrella). This pretty much reflected the no frills cooking of simple ingredients at the restaurant. It also matched the service which was unobtrusive, helpful, not of 4 star caliber but still professional (does anyone own a crumb comb?). Again, the initial impression of the restaurant was a shock (we went into the wrong entrance) even though our party didn't know what to expect. The overall impression was that this was a rustic , casual experience - although surrounded by white washed walls, where the food bursts with enough colour to liven any party.
