I used this simple recipe for Kimchi, just to see what it's like. Maybe later I'll try a more complicated recipe with raw oysters and stuff. ;)

You want to know the secret of course! One hides inside the other.... This is because the big one is for lady... and the little one for man... It is a question of discretion. Just not to perturb the intimity of man, this was created. So when the lid gets open, only one (female) nozzle is displayed... simple, genuine, discret.... brilliant! Long Gone Victorian Talent!
Have been doing simple stretching and some very minor yoga things. Have also been mediating. A combination of things during my healing.
You must not only properly excercise the body. It also needs proper rest to heal and strengthen.
Doctor gave me okay to go all out with my yoga. He understands how advanced l am in it. And knows l know how properly to proceed.
And it's keeping things simple.
Ease the body slowly into different positions. Everything is a step. You can't get to the top of the stairs without stepping or going past each stair. Sure. You can go up three at a time. But that increases the chance of slipping and falling. And when you fall. It's normally back to the bottom.
So l will reach the top again. But l do it simple. One step at a time. Getting my balance before the next.
And the thing is. It's not only the proper and easy way. It gives the most inner peace.

I have lived the past 20 years waiting for the other cancer shoe to drop. Last week I heard that familiar thud when the shoe hit the floor as I was told I had breast cancer. I know, not great news but I still have many Simple Joys to glean from my difficult week of tests (did I mention I had to have my first colonoscopy right in the middle of it all that I had scheduled over a month ago? . . . I will admit I had a Krista Waa Waa moment the night of prep).
Last week's Simple Joys:
1. It could have been a lot worse. I have what is called Ductal Carcinoma in Situ or DCIS. This is a very early stage of breast cancer. As of now (pre-surgery) it is stage 0 and slow growing. It is the earliest it can be detected . . . I will have to write a thank you note to my doctor for insisting I do a follow up mammogram from last year.
2. I had a wonderful 20 years of being cancer free from Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma that was suppose to return two years after treatment. 20 years to live life, raise my girls, spend time with my family, deepen friendships and make new friends.
3. Instead of feeling hopeless I feel hope. Instead of feeling fearful I feel peace. My relationship with the Lord is different now than it was 20 years ago. I know He has a plan for me like He did the first time. This doesn't mean I'm happy about my new diagnosis, upcoming surgery and treatment. In fact, I will have a few Krista Waa Waa moments. But overall there is peace.
4. I am thankful for my new life verse, “Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth” (Colossians 3:2). It has gotten me through several tests, helped me calm down from a panic attack while I tried to take my focus off of being stuck in a small tube during my MRI and is just a wonderful reminder that no matter what is going on my focus should always be heavenward.

Love is in the air ...
Been in rehab for a week. Ankle is coming around. Still weak. Swelling down to about normal.
So now is time to increase motion without stress upon.
The next step. Have done the home exercises. Can move up, down and sideways. Motion is good. But now is time to expand the limits. And nothing does that better than yoga.
So I asked my therapists and showed her what I had in mind. She said she was okay as long as I didn't experience any degree of pain.
So here I go. Sandra had a fit until I told her therapist said it was okay.
And it starts again. The road to recovery. It can be painful at the beginning. But the pain lessons with time. And is replaced by movement and gains. And as it gets stronger. The heart gets excited, pumping blood, liquid motivation, to the area. And an excitement ensues. Won't be long and I'll be back running. I already feel the excitement.
So remember what I always say. Keep things simple. Whether getting pretty or getting healthy
