Heading north out of D.C. on CSX Metropolitan Subdivision right-of-way laid through the neighborhood by B&O Railroad ca. 1870s. Inner two tracks are Metro subway trackage (note electrified third rails), outer two tracks are CSX tracks used by CSX, MARC and Amtrak Capitol Limited
A wonderful place to visit, and similar to the whirligigs in Wilson, NC, unique in the world. Come join us in our adventure...

The west side of the street is much nicer for walking. A row of parked cars provide a buffer from the street, while windows and stoops create visual interest while providing "eyes on the street." I can easily imagine kids playing in the sidewalk while their parents watch.

Located within the grounds of the hotel complex is Source Health and Fitness, a state of the art health and leisure centre. Facilities include a 25 metre pool, fully equipped gym, tennis and squash courts as well as a variety of pampering spa treatments. A range of other outdoor pursuits nearby include golfing (Fota International Golf course and Lee Valley are both within a 15 km - radius of the hotel), horse riding, angling and water sports.
