Silbersalz35 is a German startup that offers Kodak cine film re-packaged in standard 35 mm film cartridges plus development and high resolution scans. Their film is sold in packs of four cartridges.
I tried them once last winter, at the time with four rolls of their 500T tungsten balanced high ISO film.
This time I ordered a pack of four different rolls. This is the ISO 250 daylight balanced fine grain fim. Silbersalz 35 now comes in DX coded cartridges. The DX code automatically sets an overexposure by one stop.
I used the Nikon F5 with a AF Nikkor 50 lens 1:1.8D for this roll.

Caspers is a family owned hot dog chain founded in Oakland, I have been wanting to take some night photography of this place because it gives me this "Edward Hopper" vibe to it whenever I drove by. I was curious how it would look on cinefilm. So one night I parked my car on the street, walked right across to the center divide, and took this photo with my Leica M6 loaded with Silbersalz 500T, which is essentially a Kodak Vision 3 motion picture film. I should have gotten closer or used a 50mm lens. Maybe next time in the blue hour.

With ISO 50 film you inevitably find yourself shooting with the diaphragm rather wide open and therefore a limited DoF, which can lead to strange effects, such as here: distinctive bubble bokeh.

Got the Portra 400 shots back, processed and scanned by SilverPan. I'm starting to love this little camera with its leaf shutter.
Pretty sure this was at f1.7
Compared to the Vision 500T from Silbersalz, I prefer the Portra. The 16 bit files from Silbersalz are huge and have loads of room for manipulation, but the Portra is closer to where I want it straight away.
That's not to say I won't use some more sometime...
