Fabulous to see an old corner shop sign in this good condition, which is now a barbers shop.
I wish I could step back in time to see the shop in it's grand splendour. Corner of Herbert road & Eglington road, Plumstead, South East London.

"There are no coincidences.
A toad, ancient guardian of the earth, stops beside a word carved into the cement: YOUR.
It is a calling, a sign, perhaps a message from the unseen.
It speaks not only of him, but of you — of what belongs to you, of what surrounds you.
It is your shadow, your conscience, your hidden self emerging from the darkness and looking back at you.
YOUR. A silent dialogue between nature and destiny."
A Route 66 store sign in San Francisco, California. The famous route goes nowhere near the area, but there is a clothing brand and stores using the name.
We had a refreshing break in Northumberland last week. On our journey to Berwick-Upon-Tweed we stopped for a wonderful meal at the 'Anglers Arms' at Weldon Bridge, Longframlington.
Here is one of the old signs displayed at the Pub.
(For those in the know, do you think it would go down well at the KH?)
I haven't been shooting much, and I haven't been on flickr much. I hope to be able to change both in the near future, but for now, here's a pretty fence and some flowers. :-)
... in Glencoe. The sign was there and yes I could have easily avoid including it, but somehow to me, it gave a bit of a contrast to the landscape.

Honestly, it still feels like spring is ages away for us up in the north, but there are some signs that maybe it's on the way.
While we're still buried under a lot of snow, things have been popping up as the thermostat inches towards zero.
Today was one of those days, the sun was shining, the breeze was mild, and for the most part gloves weren't needed.
Taking advantage of that, Scott and I ventured out for a walk in the neighbourhood to see what we could find.
Days like this, make me anxious for the warmer days of spring and summer!
Hope everyone has had a good day.

Pay attention, this collection is enclosed by locked fence on private property, I sought and got permission to shoot outside the fence. Just a great couple of signs.
There is something special about old signage; of times past.
Hay algo especial de letreros antiguos; de tiempos ya pasados.
