This sign sits over the driveway of a lovely old farm in Warren, Oregon. There is a big, beautiful old red barn and several outbuildings. The lovely old farm house is indeed made with many stones. I'm wondering if the sign refers to "Stone" as the family name, the stones of the house, or if they left out the "R?" Hmmm... ;-)
This bus has been going around Chester for a while with an upside-down sign. Buses always look good, don't you think? Cool.
Modern neon, but excellent in its retroity. The diner is most excellent too, a neighborhood favorite. Friendly, reasonable in cost, and vegetarian-compatible!

This fabulous print signed by artist Michael Bonfiglio really harkens back to the glory days of Halloween. The orange in this print is so vibrant I am sure the pic doesn't do it justice. Check out the cute little owl in the tree and the sleeping bat.
This wacky art business sign was desplayed in 2004 in the ghost town of Chloride, AZ. The additional message was painted on the back of the sign so you could read it as you passed.
I went with Steve to the butcher's yesterday afternoon. Since we were at Noe & Church (and had iced drinks in hand from Martha & Bros.), we decided to walk up the ridiculous hill to the intersection of Noe & Valley. I took basically the same picture over three years ago with my little camera, and Whole Foods Market wanted to use it as part of a sign in their new Noe Valley store. I was a little dubious about whether the resolution would be good enough... I figured it merited a reshoot anyway.
And with that, I'm pretty much caught up for the first time since early August. Of course, I may still go back and post some of the pictures that didn't make the initial cut.
The signs around Kenilworth Town Centre pointing towards the newly opened Kenilworth Station. Also pointing towards the station's car park as well!

Robey Theatre.
Built 1911, 1926. Architects Carmichael and Millspaugh. However, my sources conflict. Others state 1905 or 1906 as the date of construction... they did just celebrate their 100th birthday, so, there you go.
Originally, the theatre was on the first two floors, while the Knights of Pythias were on the third. Still in operation!
