I've tried harder this time to emphasise the texture and feeling of urban decay in this one, I really like the subject and geometry here but I think the super-bright colours on the old version detract a bit from what it should say...
I really liked the bright one before, but I think this version is much more refined :)

The Rose's bogs continue to get worse. Now they just have one crappy toilet cubicle for all the men. They have a function on tonight as well.
The world famous Los Angeles landmark, the Hollywood Sign. Looking north, you can see the transmssion towers above the sign and the San Fernando Valley in the background.

We decided that there must be two evacuation routes one from the east coast and one from the west which eventually meet up at Kansas City or Tulsa where it is decided that it's safe.
This covers just about everywhere around here..

Yesterday was little Ms. P.'s second birthday. We spent the afternoon going to the fair with the children, as we will be having a party with both family and friends only this weekend.
It was fun for all of us, but although I took my camera with me, I didn't manage to take any good pictures that weren't of my family (and even those didn't come out the way I wanted). My photography seems to be taking some time off without me wanting it to, so I'll at least post this picture. I guess I'll be taking my camera with me this morning when I go to get some things done downtown, who knows what I come back with.
The sign below is of a Cassowary warning drivers in Cape Tribulation not to knock them down. However these warnings weren't enough so somebody altered the top sign (warning drivers of a hump in the road) to show what a Cassowary flattened by a car might look like.
The Cassowary is an endangered ostrich type bird which can be found (dead and alive) in Cape Tribulation, north of Cairns in Far North Queensland in Australia.

See the smoke in the background? I walked all the way from the Riviera to here for some photos and when I went back there was thick black smoke pouring out of all the storm drains nearby. Weird. Pentax MX, Kodak TX400 and HC110.
