This was taken at the Cincinnati Art Museum. For a short time they have some neon signs on display.

This sign used to be in Chicago at a furniture company.

In case of tsunami, just follow the signs. Has anyone seen these in CA?

A couple picks of some signs I painted for the latest Guerrero Gallery show. Not the best picks. I'll try to get a better photo of these pups soon!

Long before there was Best Buy, there was a chain called BEST. I remember going to the one in Mesquite, Texas, when I was but a wee lad. My first Casio keyboard was purchased there, as well as many of the electronics, toys and home accessories that filled my childhood.

Cut to this morning. I was driving around Northridge, trying to waste some time before my appointment with the chiropractor. I was early as usual. And what do I find? A deserted BEST store. A trip down memory lane and things past for sure!

I missed the most recent Polaroid Week because of a big deadline.

So I've decided to have my own Polaroid Week. It starts today, with love.

Big.

FRANZ KAFKA, KLEINE FABEL

„Ach“, sagte die Maus, „die Welt wird enger mit jedem Tag. Zuerst war sie so breit, daß ich Angst hatte, ich lief weiter und war glücklich, daß ich endlich rechts und links in der Ferne Mauern sah, aber diese langen Mauern eilen so schnell aufeinander zu, daß ich schon im letzten Zimmer bin, und dort im Winkel steht die Falle, in die ich laufe.“ – „Du mußt nur die Laufrichtung ändern“, sagte die Katze und fraß sie.

"Alas", said the mouse, "the whole world is growing smaller every day. At the beginning it was so big that I was afraid, I kept running and running, and I was glad when I saw walls far away to the right and left, but these long walls have narrowed so quickly that I am in the last chamber already, and there in the corner stands the trap that I am running into."

"You only need to change your direction," said the cat, and ate it up.

"A Little Fable" (German: "Kleine Fabel") is a short story written by Franz Kafka between 1917 and 1923, likely in 1920. The anecdote, only one paragraph in length, was not published in Kafka's lifetime and first appeared in Beim Bau der Chinesischen Mauer (1931). The first English translation by Willa and Edwin Muir was published by Martin Secker in London in 1933. It appeared in The Great Wall of China. Stories and Reflections (New York City: Schocken Books, 1946).

Direction sign on the remote single track road to Lochbuie and Croggan on the Isle of Mull Scotland.

Despite being a single track road and somewhat remote location these roads are some of the most smooth roads I've driven along.
