Finally, a close-up look at the Sears exterior signage: 1990s logo and inevitable store closing banner. This store originally opened in the 1950s (I believe) with the script Sears logo; I really love the architecture. Unfortunately, most Memphians could care less, and are much more excited to see this Sears torn down and replaced by a Nordstrom Rack past its closure next month...

These places are public so these photos are too, but just as I tell where they came from, I'd appreciate if you'd say who :)

A cruise ship sits in the harbour ready for the off to some other Greek island, meanwhile I'm looking for a nice place to sit and have a cup of tea :)

WEEK 50 – Statesboro Office DepotMax, Set III

Another actionway view here, with a portion of the furniture department poking in on the right side of the frame. I guess I could also mention yellow as being a primary color of this store, in reference to our discussion in the previous description. While it doesn’t actually grace any of the walls here, it definitely plays a big role in the store’s aesthetics, what with all those aisle markers.

The yellow pallet drops you see in the actionway are not actually permanent décor fixtures, but I do very much like how the combined Office DepotMax company has been utilizing yellow quite a bit in its displays and advertising. It not only provides a nice pop of color, it also matches this 90s OfficeMax décor package very well, so it’s a win-win from where I’m standing, haha!

A tyre puncture, better known as a flat tyre, is a condition in which a pneumatic radial deflates causing the wheel's rim to ride on the ground or on the tread of the tyre. This could potentially lead to loss of vehicle control or permanent tyre damage.

It’s one of those matters that nobody ever thinks about: digital signs. Everyone takes them for granted in the city, on the highway, and even on bulletins inside the stadiums where sports events take place on TV. As technology moves forward, we’re coming to expect a progressively...

Seen at the Molson Brewery on Burrard Street back in the spring. It looks like production has finally shut down and the signage on the building has now been removed. Molson sold the building and property to Concord Pacific back in 2016. They are moving their beer production to a new facility in Chilliwack.

Just couldn’t resist making this photo. They make good espresso and their location in Pioneer Square District is open during the Coronavirus lockdown.

WEEK 52 – Southaven Burlington Relocation: Finale (Buck's Bargain Center)

(cont.) This type of merchandise means Buck's should fit in rather well on Stateline, considering their nearby neighbors include Big Lots and Goodwill on the other side of the interstate, and Bargain Hunt and Home Décor Liquidators next to them in the very same former Super Kmart building (!). The concept is an interesting one for sure, and while they may not be able to beat Lowe's or Home Depot for variety, selection, and, well, shiny-newness of goods, they still ought to do well enough in their own right.

In this shot, we're taking a close-up look at the Buck's logo. If you look closely, you can see that they didn't really bother to remove the old Burlington labelscar; they just stuck their sign right on top of it! This is even more easily noticeable with the “Baby Depot” labelscar between the Lawn & Garden and Electrical signs below. Also of note is that “Buck's” is not centered above “Bargain Center,” which I can't unsee!
