The building was once a large scale manufacturing warehouse owned by Nicholson Martinot and believed to have been functional in the late 19th century selling sold all sorts of things including fancy leather goods and walking sticks. Buildings of Scotland books suggests the building was erected circa 1765.
I am really surprised you interest with this photo! In some streets, the densities of signage are like this. Of course the percentage is not very high, but you really can see this kind of signage in every city of Taiwan. And most of them will be turned off after buisness hours, so people who live there can sleep :P I really appreciate to my old and new friends for your kind comments and faves :-) Thank you!!
Although the size is very small, this is my first photo on the magazine ;-)
Everywhere you look in NYC, there is something to see.....bright lights, billboards, store windows....
I shot this with an iPhone from the window of a taxi. It turned out blurry and I’ve tried to salvage it with an artist filter.
I am so disappointed I didn’t get to take photos the way I wanted.
Somebody did some in depth research to figure out what was important to tourists. I do believe it is in decending order.
This little section along Dotonbori is rather different.
It's got an original, old feel about it with the dim warm lighting, nothing like the swankier sections.
Multiple signage with the exact same message, 2 staircases that lead to the same spot.
Handheld shot in low light as good as one made on tripod, love this setup!

From a short family walk on a Saturday afternoon in Nørresundby/Nørre Uttrup, Denmark - October 19, 2019.
Boston 6 miles; Plymouth 28 miles. What more do you need to know? Old mile marker on Hancock Street in North Quincy (MA).
I followed the Longmont Supply ditch to the pond, north of MAC, while investigating it's path. Someone decided to mark it's way into the Trump style swamposphere. Oligarghy Ditch peters out well east on area farmland while this ditch peters out sooner. This is again the same ditch but a different viewpoint of where it fills and swamps (Trump national standard) the unnamed pond north of McIntosh Lake in the distance. No ditches actually drained MacLake. Here it is on it's way south from meandering past Lyons along Highway #66 and eventually into town. The Longmont Supply ditch was suspended over Oligarchy ditch, sort of, and heads south, but it disappears after a while, probably into city storm drain lines. It survived the rusty culvert and pops up later south of 17th Street. I can guarantee that towns folk are not drinking this - the filter plant is haf of the way to Lyons, well west and uphill of here. Longmont has added an exercise path to this ditch and a project for me.
According to Longmont city spokesman Rigo Leal, this particular ditch is known as the Longmont Supply Ditch, which has its primary gate about 3 miles east of Lyons. This old irrigation ditch dates back to 1865. Back in the old days, the ditch supplied the city with water from the St. Vrain River. Now, most of the water goes into the city's water treatment plant before even getting to the actual ditch. It goes through a series of pipes and actually ends up at Longmont High School, where it then is used to irrigate the surrounding areas. City spokesman
I ventured out on another spring-ISH trek around the new area while poking about. This area is now above normal spring rainfall. What a spring - Where? here? The broadcasters warn us of nature's impending growth spurts and more impending fuels for forest fires. What? Global warming?
As of today, we are over 100% seasonal moisture in just this area. It is great that eDDie and I got in a trek yesterday. I guess that comes with 5 bad days and one decent day and starting over. I understand, the majority of western states are now in a major water crisis as bad as the southeastern states are locked in a stupidity crisis.
There was a killer sky developing in fits and start while eDDie napped in the vehicle. There have been few good skies (another today) in the past. I wanted exercise and finally the sun gods gave us a string of decent days. I am an - I want out guy.
