About half of the cottages have now been remodeled at the Jules Cottage Court. The miniature golf course across the street has been left to fade away surrounded by chain link fence.

I would imagine that at one time Don's was a great looking neon sign, but no more. Some of the patched holes are just barely visible.
Didn't make it to the Tower of London to see the poppies but Hever did their own little tribute that was very moving.
This sign made me smile!

Great little popcorn sign under the marquee of the Cass City theatre. I like the little popcorn man.
“E’ più facile che passi un cammello nella cruna dell’ago che … il passante attraverso la recinzione in piazza Santa Maria delle Grazie”. Paradossale come le ambiguità dei cartelli stradali che a volte possono mettere in difficoltà passanti e automobilisti.
Si vive in un’epoca storica di segnali che ci orientano nei movimenti. La loro capacità di comunicare in maniera univoca è essenziale per garantire un’indicazione efficace. I segnali stradali in Italia sono milioni, in media quarantotto per ogni chilometro. Sono decifrabili a fatica, spesso confusi e inducono talvolta il dubbio di aver equivocato qualcosa.
Come in questo caso: come si potrà attraversare le maglie fitte della rete che cinge l’area davanti al Cenacolo di Leonardo…..
P.S.: dopo due settimane, a fine novembre 2010, il cartello di destra è stato spostato di alcuni metri.

We live in a historical period of signals that guide us in movements. Their unique ability to communicate is essential to ensure effective indication. Road signs in Italy are millions, forty-eight per kilometer on average. They are decipherable with difficulty, often confused and sometimes lead the doubt that you have misunderstood something.
As in this case: whether it will pass through the meshed network that surrounds the area in front of Leonardo's Cenacolo ... ..
PS: After two weeks, in November 2010, the sign on the right is taken away.
Washington DC, November 6, 2014. Social justice activists affiliated with Creative Resistance, freepress, DemandProgress, Fight For The Future and other groups rallied in front of the White House this evening in support of net neutrality and against the latest plans by the FCC to sneak in* 'pay for play' fast lanes for content providers and consumers, stranding those who can't pay in slow lanes. Over four million people have spoken out against this odious proposal. Even our Disappointer In Chief Barack Obama has gone on the record in favor of continued net neutrality. The style of the action this evening was inspired by a recent rally in Budapest Hungary, where thousands gathered with shimmering digital devices held aloft in protest of proposed additional charges for data access.The powers that be in Hungary backed down.
*FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler, a former telecom lobbyist, has refused to allow open public hearings on the proposed changes. The details of the latest FCC so-called Net Neutrality plan were leaked, not released.
It is so affable, or maybe laffable. It is on a Motel in Corvallis, Oregon. I put a picture of it on another site a year or two ago, and it didn't have as many mistakes then. I would think it would get better, not worse, but who knows?
