Adobe Lightroom mobile for Android still having issues. It's finally saving at original resolution and retaining metadata, but it also changed 60mm to 600mm. If only it could do that for me in real life.

This is all that remains of Good Luck Farms, the rest has been torn down to build some sort of awful development.
I dug this photo out from a Lincoln Highway set I haven't posted yet, because of a tragedy. My friend Alan C posted this photo which about broke my heart.
The Goshen had this great sign. Googie, jaunty letters, neon, swooping arrow with chasing yellow lights.. it had it all going on. As years went on, it changed ownership, the sign got more aged. The little stars used to be neon in different colors. They burned out or broke. Somewhere along the way the arrow stopped working. The "Motor Inn" still worked, and "Goshen" did too. (When the owner would bother to change the fluorescent lamps in the letters)
My last time doing the Lincoln Highway (April '08), I stopped at the Goshen to talk to the owner and ask if he'd turn the sign on for me. He started telling me how he had someone that wanted to buy the sign, and how he was going to get a backlit plastic one. He even brought out the plans for the new sign. I tried my hardest to convince him that THIS sign was great, that it was a draw, and if he kept it up it would be an asset, especially with the re-interest in older "mom-n-pop" motels that's occuring nationwide. The $3500 for the new sign would cover getting the old sign back in top shape.
I guess my talk fell on deaf ears, as you can see by this photo.
What a complete and utter shame. It saddens me, and somewhat angers me, but I guess "progress" marches on. Progress sucks.
I guess then, that this photo is probably one of the last ones taken of the sign when it was still viable, still cool. I hope the owner enjoys his new plastic box, and the way it'll have absolutely none of the class and character of this sign.
UPDATE 9/3/08: I was just past the Goshen this past week, and it's done. Their once cool vintage sign has been replace by this plastic junk. :-(
