There are a zillion pictures of these signs from the same angle. But I came across this and liked it anyway.

I tried out a new technique a few days ago - lens whacking. It's also sometimes called free lensing. You essentially remove the lens from the camera and move it around with your hand to focus the image. I did this with the Canon EOS M and the 50mm 1.4 lens. I didn't use the EF-m adapter for this experiment

Former Alpha Beta Market located at 150 San Mateo Rd. in Half Moon Bay,CA. The building became a Lucky then and Albertsons which closed this store along with 36 additional stores in August 2006. After sitting vacant for a few months the building was being renovated and by late 2008 would be occupied by Santa Cruz based New Leaf Markets. Upon my visit the store was vere clean and nicely renovated but I came to realize that this one store is the only location New Leaf has outside the Santa Cruz area. So even though I hate to think the days of this store might be limited it seems like it could very well be that way...
Many Cleveland settlers were anti-slavery and abolitionists. After the opening of the Ohio and Erie Canal, Cleveland became a destination for fugitive slaves and the bondsmen who tracked them. Before the Civil War, slaves moved through Ohio's Underground Railroad network that extended two hundred and fifty miles from Ripley to Cleveland. Known by the secret code name "Hope," Cleveland became a destination for freedom seekers making their way north to Canada. Persons seeking freedom were often aided by abolitionists in University Circle, formerly a part of East Cleveland Township. To celebrate Cleveland's story of antislavery, the courageous people who sought freedom, and the station operators who helped them, this home was saved through the advocacy efforts of the Cleveland Restoration Society, Restore Cleveland Hope Inc., and University Circle Inc. Donated by University Hospitals in 2006, the home is reflective of Cleveland's anti-slavery era and legacy of abolition.

A Whole Foods Market remodeled the interior of the store upon their opening, however the exterior has not changed much since the days when Alpha Beta was operating.
