Sialkot (Urdu: سيالكوٹ), is a city and capital of Sialkot District located in the north-east of the Punjab province in Pakistan at the foot of Kashmir hills near the Chenab River. The city is about 125 km (78 mi) north of Lahore. The recorded history of Sialkot covers thousands of years. Sialkot has, since its foundation, changed hands from Hindu, Buddhist, Persian, Greek, Afghan, Turk, Sikh, Mughal and British rule to that of present-day Pakistan. The Pir Panjal Range is a mountain range in the Middle Himalayas running from east southeast to west northwest across the state of Kashmir in the Indian-Occupied Kashmir as well as Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. The eastern segment of the range forms the watershed that separates the Chenab river from the Beas river.
Deo Tibba (6001 m) and Indrasan (6221 m) are two important peaks at the eastern end of the mountain range.
They can be approached from both the Parbati-Beas Valley (Kulu District) and the Chandra (Upper Chenab) Valley in the Indian state...
