Powell Point is another narrow spur along the West Rim Drive, on which is built a granite memorial to John Wesley Powell, erected to commemorate his two groundbreaking explorations of the Colorado River in 1869 and 1872. The point is only a 10 minute walk through the pine woods from Maricopa, past Orphan Mine, so many people hike rather than wait for the next shuttlebus. The vista is similar to that from Maricopa except that more of the canyon to the west is visible, though some is still obscured by the next ridge (Hopi Point). The river is not in view since it flows deep within its inner granite gorge.

A nice souvenir from Tokyo Disneyland based on an actual shuttlebus. These models are sold exclusively in Japan or on the Internet through dealers in Southeast Asia, some of whom sell a line of Disney themed buses. The latter command high prices in the US but, judging from the photographs I have seen, they look quite nice.

Am 7. September 2014 war der ATB mit seinen historischen Bussen als Verstärkerbussen auf den Omnibuslinien „M45“ (zum „Tag der offenen Tür“ der Polizeidirektion 2) und „134“ (zum Flugplatzfest des Militärhistorischen Museums der Bundeswehr) als Autobuslinien „54 E“ bzw. „34 E“ geschildert unterwegs und hatte zusätzlich den Shuttleverkehr vom DTMB zur Depothalle des DTMB zu erbringen. Auf der letzten Linie war diesmal „Hugo“ des DVN im Einsatz.
