Display lot of the Texas Corvette Car show. Many more cars parked on the streets. The driver's all drove the cars at the F1 Circuit of the Americas track (COTA).
Yesterday was the Seymour Show.
Now this Cockatoo was something I did as a kind of ;earning exercise. I've wanted to try my hand at larger sculptures for a while, it's not something I've done before, and this cockatoo was really just me practising to learn.
And then, at one point yesterday, I'm there near the display yesterday, and this guy and his partner are looking at it. they're just leaning in together, talking amongst themselves, but the thing isn't too well balanced, and I'm concerned it'll get knocked, so I move towards them just in case. That's when I catch the guy saying to his partner, with utmost reverence "It takes a real artist to do something like that."
I busily do an internal high-five, it's one of the best compliments I've ever gotten, mostly it's about how he said it, and partly because it wasn't said to me at all, I'm not even sure they noticed me there, but it was obviously the highlight of his day. And they move on.
That's why I do these displays. It's about bringing that joy into the world. So whoever you are stranger, High-Five.

As I was searching the ground at Chatfield State Park for something interesting to shoot for the CC weekly challenge, I heard a rumble overhead. Much to my surprise there were 4 planes doing loop de loops! This particular stunt ended with a half circle around the sailboat mast. We saw them come and go a few times in between their maneuvers. It was really fun to watch, and then they left. The closest airport is about 20 miles away.

With Hospice now on board, I talked my husband into a few days out of town to revive himself after the past month of caring for his brother. Nice to have the break and preparation for what is ahead.

This picture was taken from Mt. Woodson, which is 30 miles away from San Diego downtown. I set my camera at the same place and continuously shoot for more than three hours. I got 20 some shooting stars. Then, I selected the middle one as the base and rotated the other ones according to the star positions and move the shooting stars over. The very bright one looked like a fireball when we saw it. I am glad that I captured it in my frame.

Since this chair was put out, there has been lots of signatures and pictures taken of supporters sitting in this chair (I took this photo a day after it was put there).

I arrived home at around 1am on Saturday morning from a gig and found the Shard showing off again! LoL... I had the gears out so why not indeed! I also did a video but know nothing about filming the quality is awful when converted and resized for upload, though as filmed it was great. Once I get that fixed I'll upload it, it's preet cool.

The greatest show on earth? You get my vote here... MLW M630's crest the 2.8% Keating summit on the WNY&P's former PRR Buffalo Line at Keating Summit Pa. Perfect showmanship by Engineer Eric Bochman - who can be smiling as big at the dozen goob's on this bridge..

Having successfully recovered her kill, this young leopard now at last has time to do some necessary show of force to one of the cheetahs that came back.
After a while, the cheetahs walked of in the distance, and they all lived happily ever after!
