Whatever the weather, I always enjoy spending a couple of hours alone up here on this limestone plateau. The world rushes by far below on the M6 Motorway and it slows to a tranquil beauty up here with views in all directions of landscape beauty.
The Dales to the East, the Lakes to the North and Morecambe Bay to the West it is so well placed.
Anyway, I waited until well after sunset on this evening and I was treated to some lovely post sunset colour. The beauty of this time of year is that sunset is now so early ar 4.15 pm and you can enjoy its show and still get home for Dinner.
The rather colourful Tang Dynasty Dancing Show, near Xi'an, China. We were taken to a local venue, where we were served a delicious Chinese feast and then treated to a colourful dancing show.
The Orchid Show at Missouri Botanical Garden is coming up soon. I'll go if I can, but I've got a bunch of photos I haven't edited from the 2017 and 2018 Shows. Here's a few ...

We got a double light show during our fireworks adventure at the farm.
Since our planned fireworks show the following night was forecast to be rained out, we decided to shoot off a few a night early. Little did we know nature was going to put on a nice little light show for us as well.
There was a constant stream of lightning in the background that finally gave way to clear skies.
The fireworks are usually shot off remotely but there were a few that didn't cooperate and had to be manually lit. You can see the fireworks masters, aka, my brother and cousin in the bottom right for some nice perspective and human element.
Unedited version of a short video I took of the "Under The Midnight Rainbow" show at the 2025 World Expo in Osaka.
This is the "Show Room" of the Belle Isle Conservatory. Seasonal plantings are highlighted in this room, like a fantastic display of poinsettia for Christmas for instance.

If you take a look in the museum rooms, you immediately see which theme is central to the Gorcums Museum: Colour. The works of more than 70 artists transform the museum rooms into a unique experience. What the participants have in common is that they have created monochrome works. And although it seems self-evident that color is used within art, the ColorTones exhibition puts the visitor on a new track with this angle.
