Eastern Rosella's colourful feathers are not everyone's taste but I find this frontal display rather attractive ;-).

MRL 4305 is waiting for a clearance westbound in the final moments of sunlight. The glint lighting shows off the wear and tear of the SD70ACe.
This guy was such a show off folks, and I love every minute of it giving us some great photo-ops.
Thanks for the visit, always appreciated.
I noticed this Black Headed Gull making repeated dives over a reeded at St Aidans. For some reason I defiant expect a Bittern to end up being flushed out. I managed. photo or two but not too the standard I would have liked.
Crowned Woodnymph [Thalurania colombica]
The same species as my previous post, possibly the same bird. Just different lighting.

As of the writing of this caption, IC 2466 is the last Blue Devil C40-8W (and, to my knowledge, the last active locomotive showing Conrail blue on a class 1 railroad) in active service on CN. All others are either stored or scrapped. The caption may be a little dramatic, but I find it hard to imagine that this will ever happen again. Earlier today, the unit arrived into London, ON leading train 509. I tried a new shot with this one, standing on the overpass of Hyde Park road. It turned out pretty well I'd say for a first try.
IC 2463 was one of the first locomotives I caught when I was younger, and while this is not that exact unit, the blue devil captured my interest as to why it wasn't painted like the other CN units. It got the ball of research rolling for me, and I was more than happy to be able to grab this train today - thanks for the company today guys. You know who you are!
Asian people love their photo opportunities. We have smiled at their different poses over the last few years but they are infectious and add a certain dimension to every picture. We've started doing it ourselves after being encouraged by our Thai colleagues. The girls have a better sense of it than us oldies!
Iowa Interstate GE ES44AC No. 516 leads train BICB (Blue Island, Illinois, to Council Bluffs, Iowa) into the siding at Anita, Iowa, to meet its counterpart CBBI on April 12, 2016. The colorful locomotive is painted in a special Rock Island-inspired paint scheme in celebrating IAIS’s 30th Anniversary.

This beautiful butterfly landed on these pink flowers, and actually sat still with wings open wide, as if showing off those near perfect black wings with silver stripped spots and that touch of red.
Not sure of the ID so if anyone knows please feel free to let me know!
