My blue Marguerite 'felicia amelloides' daisies, happily absorbing the northern sun here at Cherrybrook in northern Sydney. They are from the 'Plants Plus' nursery and garden centre, in the Cumberland Forest, at West Pennant Hills.

For some strange reason all the camera information is not showing on the right hand side as it normally does, or usually does, for this and other recent 5D images.

I saw several Anna's hummingbirds the last few days, and this one was showing me various angles. I managed to get a shot with nearly maximum iridescence.

Just opened. This Iris survived after three others had the stems broken by birds or squirrels. It is an iris. I bought a couple of years ago and always look forward to the blooming.
Only one Bloom this year.
There are several premiere spots to fish from at the falls, One of them is from the lip of the falls. Only the dominant bears have earned their spot to fish from that coveted location and even then, some of them get immediately displaced when the biggest of all arrive. It's really fascinating to watch. Sometimes, the less experienced bears may wander up there to try to perfect their skills. They tend to surround the more proficient and perhaps wait for a fish to jump out their way ... almost in a deflection in the action. LOL.
Every bear that fishes from the lip has their own secret for success. Some are fast and furious, others are quite patient waiting for the perfect one with the least amount of effort. Others coax the salmon over by reaching out for them with their paws, while others just prefer to almost pin them down with their bodies.. Of course, the mouth catch, with the salmon in mid-air until that fateful moment. For me, I try to capture them all. It's a matter of documenting the behavioral moments, and the pursuant ramification of those actions. It can get quite testy at times.
As I've said before, I don't think that I will every get tired of these amazing bears. They bring me joy, laughter, moments of anticipation and surprise, but mostly an inner peace.
I hope that everyone enjoys their weekend ahead.

The Great Blue Heron is beautiful anytime of the year but during the courting season he gets a blue tinge around the eye and the beak gets more vibrant in color. It is truly amazing the changes that occur during the mating season and oh so beautiful to see. Each species has their own way of attracting their mate and each one is more beautiful than the next !! How I love nature and all it's beauty !!
Wishing you a lovely and blessed evening !!!
The beautiful male wood duck was certainly showing off his colors !!! Amazing species to watch as they begin the courting season !!!

Had a hard time leaving Texas because the clouds this morning had me mesmerized. I kept stopping and taking pictures as the greatest Artist/Creator of all showed off with a constantly changing cloudscape. This was down along the border on US-90, not much in the way of landscape, but who needs landscapes when the heavens play.
I've got some other interesting shots from this morning I'll be posting from time to time.
Here a link about this type of cloud formation, Thanks again Alex M

I just about this great egret in breeding plumage landing beside me because I was so focused on a different bird.
The great egrets wingspan is close to 1.7 metres accross.
This photo was taken at Orlando Wetlands on a sunny, warm spring day.
One interesting fact about this bird is that In mixed-species colonies, Great Egrets are often the first species to arrive, and their presence may induce nesting among other species.
