Our shower has been leaking down onto the kitchen ceiling, so we finally had to start taking it apart to redo. That's going to be fun!

Did another photoshoot with Noreen yesterday. We could not shoot until around 1:00 and the heat was miserable (109). Also, being monsoon season the humidity was up. So, we finished up the shoot at a small waterfall and this water playground.

so pretty! Tree in my street.

Taking a shower while sitting on a toilet takes some getting used to. You also have to turn on the hot water yourself. Warm up the boiler 10 minutes before you use it. Good thing I was traveling with someone young as most people my age would have a fit the bathroom wasn't in their room. To me the hotel just has to be clean and safe. I would rather have more days than blow the bank on upscale rooms. Hong Kong can be very expensive if you don't watch it. This place was in a prime location, next to the metro, for 35 bucks a night for a double room I think you'd be hard pressed to find something of this value in Hong Kong.

The showers have been outfitted with safety features, such as sloping handles that don't allow anything to be wrapped around them.

A couple of weeks ago, I hooked up a hose with it on a gentle shower to see if the hummingbirds would take advantage, since it has been so dry and hot. Each time, one or two has. I've tried to get videos and so far this is the best I have got. The water looks stronger than it is going. It's pretty gentle.

Playing around with old photos today. Thought this one was interesting.

Its funny, I am going through my images on my computer and getting rid of the bad images and clean things up a bit. While doing so, I found a set of unstacked and unprocessed star trail. How did that happen?!?! Turns out, after this midnight shoot, I looked for all the meteors, a total of 31, and then walked away, forgetting to return. So, in the name of cleaning up the computer, I stacked them and processed it. :)

Looking back at the data of the original files, this is from the Perseids meteor shower of 2012?! That was almost a year ago! I guess I really need to get back into the saddle when it comes to this kind of work. :)

**** After looking at my photo stream, I see I already DID processed and posted this one! SILLY ME! But I am keeping this one up because I like how I processed. Much more colorful and fun. Silly me!!!****

Geek talk here: I used the Canon 5DM2 with the Canon 35mm f/2.0 lens. A total of 491 images. All of which are 30 seconds long with the ISO of 1250. I stacked the images using a program called StarStaX, a delightful program that is quick and useable on the MAC! :D

I tried to get a timelapse of the meteor shower and it didn't come out like I wanted it to. This is the every frame from the timelapse combined with 2 meteors showing at the bottom.
