Tulip 'Little Beauty' only opens in the sun... and I have yet to see it fooled by April laughing between fits of tears...

Although similar to my previous photo, until I looked closely and processed this raw image, I did not notice the meteor showers. Nikon D750 with a f2.8 14mm Rokinon lens. I brightened the Milky Way a little to produce more contrast in the night sky.
Just as the sun dropped below the horizon, the light left the hills but the clouds lit up. We were supposed to get a violent thunderstorm, but got this gentle shower instead. This view was from my second story deck in Montpelier, Idaho
In front of a line with thundery showers a few isolated ones developed. They were rather weak, but nice to watch.
This Cumulonimbus looks small on the photograph, but realize that it was shot with a 14mm lens on full frame....
A blend of 3 shots to get 4 meteors in 1 picture. I like my composition and the night out. But watching the Perseids shower was less impressive as I thought it would be :-)

This was just after taking my morning shower and just before stepping out of the bathroom.. I noticed this footprint. Was quick enough to grab my camera and capture it before it gets distorted!!
To be fair the birds were there all the time even when it was chucking it down and I only went out with the camera if the rain stopped and the sun came out.
Luckily during one of these brief forays the female Nuthatch approached the feeders and stayed long enough on this nearby branch for me to grab a couple of shots.
Zenitar M2S 50mm f2 lens. Focus movement feels like there is some sand stuck :) plasticky and cheap but sharp and wonderful bokeh :) I see more similarities with Helios 40 bokeh.
No coating I guess. Also, this lens does crazy flaring!

Kim and Jacky threw me this awesome shower with a Luau theme! Everyone wore flowers in their hair and showered me with wonderful!
With all the stress of everyday life, sometimes you just need to step into the shower even with your clothes on and let the water fall until the world feels quiet again.

View of a typical April shower (in Holland we call them March showers) over the dutch landscape.
Photograph was taken with a 8mm (12mm equivalent) lens.
A day of walking across Reigate Hill and beyond in glorious autumnal weather – but look in the distance just right of centre, and you’ll see a sharp rain shower descending with a flourish.
For me, this was a fascinating phenomenon to witness (especially as it was some distance away!) and it added to the pleasure of spending the day on the North Downs Way in Surrey. This landscape looks across the Weald and over to the South Downs in the distance. Reigate Hill’s elevation is 771 feet (235m) and the area is administered and cared for by the National Trust.

Lucky for me I found 2 growing and flowering just down the road.
Taken from Trumpan, Isle of Skye in the late evening looking towards Dunvegan Head, showers moving along the coast, setting sun lighting up the cliffs on the Head
Skye piled a bunch of leaves in a tree and then pulled them down on top of her. She said she was having a "leaf shower."

This is a rural area in eastern Washington called The Palouse. The farm land is incredibly contoured - much different than the usual flat fields in many agricultural regions. Those dramatic contours must make it a challenge to farm but it does make for interesting images. The setting sun (out of frame to the left) was casting long shadows on the rolling farm land and lighting up the rain shower to the north with color. The photo was taken from Steptoe Butte which rises amongst the farms and offers 360 degree views - worth a trip if you are in the Spokane area.
