A Short-eared Owl on the search for a Vole meal. We are very lucky that these beauties grace our area in the late Fall and Winter months. Photo taken at Shillapoo Lake, Vancouver, Washington.
On this occasion during the early evening of September in 2017, the Aurora was not visible at all to the naked eye - but revealed itself in a longer exposure. It was short-lived, unfortunately, as the clouds moved in and that was the end of the show - and the end of my Aurora posts for now. Time to move on again.
