A play on words, based on the popular countryside pasttime and photographic terminology. The camera pictured is an old family Super 8 video camera!
This is for the Let's Get Creative 2014 52 Week project, and the first theme is camera - I wanted to do something different! Especially living in Lincolnshire, where half of my family are able to shoot.
Model is Thomas.

Taking photos through (dirty) glass is never easy and even less so when the animals are very close to the window.
If wild lions didn't need to hunt or mate I think that they would probably lie down and sleep for more than the 18 out of 24 hours that they do. For that reason it was good to see these captive born lions displaying uncharacteristically boisterous behaviour by chasing this metal ball around their enclosure.

Out to shoot the northern light but there was not much green. Took two shots and during the second one I saw this bright shooting star and realized the camera was taking the picture.

Unfortunately everyone keeps stay home this spring holidays.
Then I'm not out of the local area,
sometimes I did not go out all day,
and sometimes I'm working in my home.
Meanwhile, at the foot of the picture of Mt.Fuji (last shot),
I carved a lot of bamboo shoots this year.
Stay Home

Riding across the bridge at the marina, left hand on the wheel dodging traffic, and shooting with the right. Not recommended for beginners! ;-)
After helping me build the pool hall in the Detective's Office, the Carpenter took a break to shoot some pool :-)
This is just a quick shot of the pool table. I wanted to take a picture while I still had easy access to that room (before all the walls were done). I extended the back walls by one layer of grey bricks, just for the photo.

Can we pretend that airplanes In the night sky are like shooting stars?
I could really use a wish right now.....
I love to shoot local and finding compositions and scenes that people haven't noticed or shot before is very satisfying.
Here's a shot I took many years ago of my dad's 1955 BSA Shooting Star. This was a wonderful bike, built around the time when British motorcycles really did rule the world. This 1955 500cc twin model was bought by dad as a basket case and received a nut and bolt rebuild in dad's workshop. He packed in smoking and only ever spent on his bikes what he used to spend on cigarettes, hence his ability to buy the bike and then pay for any new parts etc. What a fine exchange.
