Growing in the meadow among the buttercups

I have quite a few photos of the Shield sundew (Drosera peltata) on Flickr, but here I was experimenting with a shallow depth of field, which gives the plant an ethereal quality.

Sunset at South Shields, England

With twilight fast approaching, CPKC 119 makes a timely appearance winding westbound between the bluffs and the Spanish River at Pogamasing. This area features some of the highest rock cuts on the Nemegos Sub as the right-of-way cuts through the Canadian Shield. Millions of years of erosion carved these "hills" from what was once a towering mountain range, some of the ancient peaks higher than Mt. Everest. No drones here, just a good old fashioned climb through a lot of deadwood. This bluff is featured from the ground in this shot flic.kr/p/2qys318 - MP 20 Nemegos Subdivision.

I've not taken a selfie in a while, because this is the worst time of year for me, hay-fever-wise. I want to scratch my eyeballs out!

Probbacher Waldsee in Hessen

Idyllically situated between Probbach and Winkels in the Faulbach valley is a small reservoir, the 2.5-hectare Waldsee with a storage capacity of around 80,000 cubic metres. Its dam is nine metres high and 160 metres long. Built in 1974 as part of the Probbach/Winkels land consolidation programme and subsidised by special funds from the federal government and the EEC, the lake was intended to contribute to the development of the lower Westerwald as a leisure and recreation area. Now that the municipality of Mengerskirchen has built modern sanitary facilities, a kiosk and a barbecue hut here, the forest lake offers excellent opportunities not only for swimming but also for fishing.

Kröflueldar voru hrina eldgosa og kvikuhlaupa sem áttu sér stað við Kröflu frá 20. desember 1975 til 18. september 1984.

In spots enough dust of earth hand come together and sparse vegetation found root.

Kröflueldar lava came up in serie of volkanic eruption on a fissure or area of fissure. The eruption started in december 1975 and continued with pauses until september 1984

icelandmag.is/tags/kroflueldar

This lava was very hot and run almost like water from the active fissure and into area of older lava and heatherland , split up by fissures and cracks. Sometimes the new lava filed up an area other times it came up at one fissure to float down the next crack.

This type of volkano activity is related to hte shield volkanos but on a fissures outside a main volkano, which makes it different from the 40 year activ Havaii shileld volkano Mauna Loa,

The flowers are not the selling point and I was surprised to see them. They are very small and overshadowed by the vibrant foliage.

Here's a Gorse Shield Bug popping up to take a look at the camera.
