Shards of ice caused by waves pounding the Lake Michigan shoreline.

This weeks Macro Monday submission finally gave me something to do with this old broken snowglobe. I literally only kept it around because I thought it might make an interesting picture someday.

Ice on Walthamstow Marshes.

Colorado Springs, CO - This shot was inspired by this week's Flickr Friday theme "Shattered". It took two cups of ice and several hammer strikes to get the desired effect.

What better way to spend part of Saint Patrick's Day than smashing ice in the garage?

Brighton's beach huts can take a pounding by the weather through the winter months but I think this one has had just a bit of human intervention. The British Airways i360...the worlds tallest moving observation tower...stands in the background.

The outside of this truck was posted a week or so ago. The owner has a way to go if he plans to finish a restore on this. Interesting is the radio looks newer.

To take the shot I did need to climb into the back of the truck bed and shoot through its window. Happy Windows Wednesday!

Madame Vice President-elect! A Black and Indian American woman. Nothing is impossible. I was thrilled to witness this day with the joyous crowd, here in DC. Took me back to when I came to this country many years ago full of hopes and aspirations, many of which have come true. This country made it possible.

“I hope every little girl watching tonight sees that this is a country of possibilities. While I may be the first I won’t be the last”

It was amazing to be part of the celebrations in DC after the elections. I took a lot of photos. People were overjoyed and it’s hard to imagine what’s happening in the aftermath - refusal to accept the results of the election, and an apparent attack on democracy. The country is so divided, it promises to be difficult road ahead.

I was hoping this was frost on a portion of my husband's pick-up truck; however, instead it's a lousy refinishing job on this part...so it looks this way year round.

This photo is dedicated to Joseph and Natalie. They were the first two people to ever buy prints from me, it makes me extremely proud. I ordered the prints today and they should be ready tomorrow, so hopefully I get them out by tomorrow with much love <3.

If you want to get some prints to message me :D

it was an overexposed shot, but makes the idea of something shattered with violence by the rough sea...

(I remember, long ago, last Spring, how my heart was racing when I came upon this scene, just after sunrise...and the minty fragrance - there was just no way to do justice to the real scene .)

These were huge chunks of ice. It also reminds me of a garden sidewalk. This picture is only taken a few feet from the last photo.
