Little things amuse me. Finding a replica pencil sharpener of the one I used to have as a child has thrilled me to pieces. I sharpened every single pencil in the house.
I r a dork.
Reminds me of the song "Chakku Churiyan Tez Kara Lo" in the movie Zanjeer featuring Jaya Bhaduri as the street knife sharpener.

Iduna von Idea! Made by Idea G.m.b.H., Leipzig. Alfred R. Wepf collection, Villa Müslischreck, Switzerland.
Produced ca. 1921 - ca. 1963 (source: www.spitzmaschine.de/maschinen/idea/iduna.html)
Plastic pencil sharpener, marked 'Germany' on the rear flap.
Despite the hint of a Standard Vanguard, at first I thought the design of the front was inspired by the Peugeot 203; of the back maybe by the 1949 Ford Vedette. Then I thought outside the box, and considered it could be a product of the DDR, so maybe the whole thing is based on a GAZ Pobeda: www.flickr.com/photos/adrianz-toyz/31786163283
The body was moulded in two side sections, glued together to fix the opening rear – an early prototype for the hatchback concept?! Any further information welcome.
I already had one of these in blue: www.flickr.com/photos/adrianz-toyz/52478346801
Marleny brought me back this retro pencil sharper from her spring break trip to London. I finally got to use it and it's amazing! The sharper is in the shape of a rollie, sharpens pencils really, really well.

"Fibonacci" - this week's theme for the Macro Mondays' group. Having read up on this interesting subject I found that PSE12 had a crop tool for this which I had noticed before but didn't understand what it was. Thanks to this group I now know about it and will certainly use it in the future.
HMM to all in the group. :)
Did some more macro experimenting, in this case a pencil sharpener. Shot with my Vivitar 90mm Macro at 1:1, lit from above with a LitePanels Micro Pro.
This little session highlighting the need for me to get a decent stills tripod!
These are great office/school supplies and include an Eternal Sailormoon Japanese pencil, a couple of the breakaway utility knives (for opening cardboard boxes and other uses), a few of the cute Sailormoon mechanical pencils, ironically next to the very cute pencil sharpeners (which have a delightful sparkle), but with 5 different pencil lead refill containers on the other side.
All the leads are 0.5mm.
The last thing is a bottle of Sailormoon glue.

All these (and more) need new homes as I'm going to a different country for an extended stay soon so send me a Flickr Mail message (access through the arrow that appears near my profile photo when mousing over it, or click on the little tan envelope that appears on my profile page) if interested.
Not much is known about this particular figure. My TRENDMASTERS Goldberg Pencil Shredder, which is actually just a pencil sharpener. The bottom right side shows where the pencil can be sharpened. In 1999, TRENDMASTERS had the license for the World Championship Wrestling line. They made some keychains, erasers, this figure and some weird Christmas Ornaments.
This figure is roughly 7" tall and very light. It is hollow for the pencil shavings of course.
