Southwest Airlines Bull Shark 2018 Discovery Channel Shark Week Livery 737-7H4 (N947WN) on final approach to KLGB Runway 30. (07/31/18)
It is that time of the year again: SHARK WEEK!
A time when Discovery Channel over-dramatizes every smidgen of biology, ecology, and behaviour of every species of shark .. especially the big three - white, tiger, and bull .. by interviewing, going on location, and getting in the water with any tom, dick, or harry that claims to be an "expert."
Bitter that my group's never been invited? No, not particularly.
I watch every year in hopes that maybe .. just maybe .. this year will be different.

The Whitetip Reef Shark is also known as the Triaenodon Obesus. Along with the Blacktip Reef Shark and Gray Reef Shark, it is one of the most frequent sharks in the Indo-Pacific. This species is easily spotted due to its curious, irregular, and waving swimming style and of course, the white tip on its dorsal fin. #SharkWeek
Shark, "You're an odd looking seal."
Charlotte, "I'm not a seal! I'm a little girl!"
Shark, "Hmmm. Maybe I'd better have a bite just to be sure."
Charlotte, "No! I promise you that I'm not a seal."
Shark, "OK. Then what else is there to eat around here?"
Charlotte, "Well, we have lots and lots of mosquitos."
