No other British butterfly shares the same colouring as this species that was once in decline and is now common and can now be found widespread in the UK. This species can not survive intensive agriculture as it can not live on fertilised grass swards. The males are highly territorial and will attack any insect that comes close with a fast direct flight with pugnacious enthusiasm. This butterfly is particularly fond of warm and dry situations and can be found on wastelands meadows and occasionally gardens. Caterpillars feed on Common Sorrel and Sheep's Sorrel and when adult are on the wing from early May to October.

So here's the announced Friday Flora photo which I've taken at the Britzer Garten's rose garden two weeks ago. The southern Berlin borough of Britz has a rose tradition dating back to the 1920s when Britz was renowned for its rose nursery. The nursery, which grew and cultivated all types of bedding, shrub, and noble roses, supplied the entire city of Berlin with its plants. There even is a "Rosa britzensis", a wild rose native to Kurdistan which is closely related to the common Rosa canina, and which was first described by German botanic Bernhard Adalbert Emil Koehne in 1910.
The rose garden at the Britzer Garten showcases an abundance of different rose species ranging from noble, tea, floribunda, and multiflora roses (which, I assume, is the rose species we can see in my photo), with some of the species being cultivated since 1867 or even earlier. The 12.000 square meter area also is a beautifully designed garden in its own right with many groomed hedges, sculptures, rose arches, and a fancy fountain (which you can see in the background).

Broadcast actually shares her birthday with Satomi Matsuzaki of Deerhoof, who also loves cats so I waited until Caturday to celebrate with Broadcast. Don't worry, though, she has gotten lots of treats both today and on her birthday, which was Purrsday!

Chapter Three:
The little prince shares with his friends…
Not long ago, one of my closest friends released a collection so incredibly beautiful, so emotionally resonant, and so filled with wonder and delight that I was inspired to try something new and exciting. I decided to create a story that went beyond a single frame, a short picture book, if you will. This is the third, and final, image from the series.
This amazing collection was created by the astoundingly talented iBi, under his in-world brand 8f8. He entitled his collection "Once Broken and Forgotten". Yet, there is nothing forgettable about this breathtaking work. The collection, I believe, is filled with hope, light, and love, and it invites us to dream and create a brighter future. Simply put, its one of the most beautiful collections I've ever experienced.

I love these. another one with the close up lens puttied on.
the new polaroid I-1 has an adjusting flash. I took the last two dolls in lowish light so I think the flash is adjusting for that and using too much light for the closeup lens.
I will play. I may solve the problem. I may not.
meanwhile I'll enjoy them in their faded-ness.
