Lying on the downslope of a hill having the blood rush to my head.
I've come to the conclusion that trying to do a self portrait wide open at f4.7 on a large format camera and trying to get your eyes sharp/in focus is impossible!

scanned negative, Epson V500.
I mixed up my process for Roll #2 of the Shanghai GP3 shot on the Mamiya RB67.
For this roll, my approach was as follows ....
1. 5 minute presoak in water (20'C)
2. Rodinal 1:100 ( 5mL to 500mL ratio) @ 20 'C
3. Initial agitation for first 45 seconds
4. 5 gentle rolls on each minute for next 6 minutes
5. 1 gentle roll at 30 minute mark
6. let stand for remaining 30 minutes for a 60 minute total development time
This was shot hand held f20.0 & 1/125th, condition were cloudy but very sunny. I like how it turned out with a nice balance of gray & highlights in the sky and nice range of gray in the foreground and background.
Recommendation ... don't do the presoak, I think i got some streaking on the first few frames due to adding this in the process.
These were the kinds of days that I really missed whilst in London, where the mist rolled in and the wind picked up. There's something amazingly evocative about the moorland here in the mist - although I really must learn how to shoot in these conditions, the images I took just look like the sky has burned out.... it's all in the composition I think...
This is shot overlooking Levant from Pendeen Watch.
