-- Stumbled upon this abandoned house at the end of the day. A local who we spoke with earlier advised a "cousin" had once lived there w/o further elaboration. Surrounded by tangerine trees, one could imagine the healthy glow it once radiated, but now dark and overgrown, with rotting furniture on the porch and child's toys littering a back entrance. The rifle stock (minus bolt and barrel) propping open a window added to the creepy feeling. We wondered what happened here, but gave the place only a quick look. Already late in the day and out of film after only a few exterior shots.

Sometimes I get really bored with my photos. I feel like I have a hard time stepping out of my box. I need force myself to try something new. I find the easiest thing to do is to slap on a different lens. This is not my favourite lens so I don't tend to use it very often but it occasionally takes a photo I like. ;)

I missed this black crown night heron's attempt to catch a meal in the water but got it shaking off the resulting soaked feathers. Photographed in the La Crosse River Marsh.

Pelican prepares for take off, but first she must shake that booty.

A Timber Wolf shaking its fur. We can see here so well the relationship with our dogs. Unbelievable how many people couldn't let them just be what they are and won't accept them in the wild...

I found some really funny photos while watching through the pics I took yesterday in the wildlife park. Here we see a timber wolf shaking its fur.

My RDO (roster day off) today, so I headed to the doggie beach to try photographing dogs. I had fun, but the dogs had more fun!! Looks good in large:)

Sea otter was floating on her back almost catatonic in the calm waters of Moss Landing's haven and then she decided to turn around and did this powerful shake... luckily I happened to be ready :-) @ Moss Landing, Monterey Bay

Thanks a lot, everyone, for stopping by, for looking my work, for your comments and likes! Always appreciated!

Summer has well and truly started here, smoking hot day...

After landing in the water, in an attempt to catch something, this Fish Eagle chose to sit on this stump, and dry off... He gave us quite a show, shaking the water out of his feathers, allowing us to drift closer and closer... Another magical encounter on the Chobe River...

I've not seen this before, he shook for a good 5 minutes, I thought he was unwell so I kept watching until he stopped shaking and jumped onto the peanut feeder and fed like there was nothing wrong. I wonder if he was just trying to warm up?

3rd August 2019- David of Manchester based 'Bones Shake' brought "A scuzzed fuzzed blues" vibe to Jimmy's in Liverpool. These lads were first on by virtue of the least social media 'Likes' (a strange stipulation in my eyes, but then, i'm 48..) but they manged to captivate an early audience. Starting your set by casually wandering through the crowd with a megaphone blarring an American Police siren generally tends to grab peoples attention!!

What do you see

Staring at the ceiling?

What would you dream

If you could get to sleep at all?

Said you can't breathe

A choking fear of feeling

Begs you to scream

Each and every nightfall

If you're gonna go, then go

But go with caution

If you're gonna leave

Then leave them holding the bag, yeah

And a rain will come and wash out every place we go

So drink with me now

I'm only terrified when you're letting go

So shake with me now

Poppy having a shake after swimming in the brook at Crowden clough.

I have been waiting for a rainy day to try and get some rain shots of the cats. and I don't mean light rain I wanted pouring torrential rain.Well Boxing Day delivered and I was one happy yet soaked photographer.

The Lions absolutely loved the rain. When I turned up they were both sitting on their rock. At that time it was only light rain but once the keeper presentation started the heavens opened up and those cats had the best time, running and sliding in the rain.

I believe the afternoon presentation was even better as they were jumping in the puddles.

I caught Milo in mid-shake in this shot but have many more to go through.
