This Gull was flying straight towards me, and even though they must get used to being wet, I have never seen a Herring Gull shake off excess water in mid flight !!! Terns, Osprey, yes, but never a Gull !!

Some people may smile at you and shake your hand while their hearts are as dark as Erebus, as Shakespeare says in the Merchant of Venice:

So, do not be fooled by hand shakes and big smiles. How people deal with each other is the criteria here.

Reed cormorant shaking off the water after going fishing. Cormorants do not have the same level of waterproofing as most aquatic birds and thus have to spend a lot of time drying out their feathers between dives

3rd August 2019- David of Manchester based 'Bones Shake' brought "A scuzzed fuzzed blues" vibe to Jimmy's in Liverpool.
