A distant view of Winchester Cathedral on the left and the River Itchen on the right across the Meadows below, Saint Catherine’s Hill. It was a wet day and we was soaked at the top of the hill fort. Then the sun cleared over the cathedral.

… is what I’m looking for… a sunny, bright, quiet appartment in the centre of Düsseldorf… „Guess I’ll always be a dreamer…“…
Where better to rest on a warm afternoon than under the shade of a paperbark tree. (Eastern Grey Kangaroos)
It's a Multicoloured Asian Lady Beetle, one of a species of "lady bugs." I spotted this one climbing up a woven window shade in our house on a recent night. I took this shot with one hand shining a flashlight on the bug and the other hand holding my camera. These bugs are about 1/4 inch long. This one looks to have picked up some fiber from the shade on its backside.

Walk along the path, so serene
Under the trees, emerald green
Into the future, filled with love
That shines down from high above
Walk along the path, into the shade
Against a tree, love is made
Eyes they meet and never part
Walk along the path, lets meet in your heart
Saw this lady find shade in an ancient olive tree stump. Summer came early here and during the heat of the day they try and find shade where ever they can. This area was full of alive ancient olive trees. A local told me they are more that a 1000-1500 years old. This tree came to its end but is still giving shade!
...goes a long way!
Taken on the streets of Puerto Vallarta. I love these rustic awnings. They are beautiful and do the trick.
Un poquito de sombra visto en los calles de Puerto Vallarta. Me encantan estos toldos rusticos. Son bellos y funcionan bien.
The plan is to post some images over the next while from my stay in Vallarta last year that I haven't gotten around to posting. I thought I should do that soon as another visit is fast approaching. Don't want to get too far behind.
THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR VIEWS, FAVES AND COMMENTS! XO
An important thing for birds who got a late start on their nests is keeping the young chicks cool. Weather has warmed up and we are climbing into the 90s every dayl.
This parent is standing between the sun and the chicks and holding out its wings to further shade them.
The midday light isn't very good for photography either.
Walking in the shade while looking up in the old town of Nice.
