J'ai pu observer neuf espèces de Parulines durant mon séjour au Québec. IL y avait encore treize espèces !

This was a surprise, and a diffcult ID for me, as the field guide that I had for Mexico was not good with female plumages and I did not have my US guides with me.

I think I was hoping for something more exotic.

Bird was in thick, jungle fringe habitat.

Notice that in this one his nictitating membrane is closed--that's why the eye looks so filmy.
