Parked inside the Arriva depot in Aylesbury is (V266HBH 3266) a 1999 Wright bodied Volvo B10BLE of Arriva the shires seen having finished service for the day. One of three sister vehicles still in service at Aylesbury others being 3264-3267.
In the final weeks of V set operation, V3 passes through Edgecombe with a Sydney to Lithgow service.
This would be my last capture of a V Set in revenue service.

I'm happy to present the newest MforMonkey set: "Springtime in Muryevo".
This set consists of a fur russian hat, fully lined; a felt best with hand embroidery; a white blouse with puff sleeves; an apron with embroidery lace; a pleated skirt and two ruffled petticoats.
This little mix of Western European costumes was inspired by the british TV miniseries "A young doctor's notebook".
If you saw the show, it will seam strange to you as it's very dark and gore, but extremely fun to watch nonetheless. It takes place in a tiny village in 1917 revolutionary Russia during the winter, so it was fun to imagine how it would look in spring.
I love the peasant women costumes and wanted to do something related to this traditional costume with a bulky skirt for some time.
It was lots of fun trying to get the exact amount of bulkiness for the skirt, I had to use two petticoats to get it right. Also discovered this amazing fabric while in the US to use for the skirt. It's called Shot cotton from Kaffee Fassett. One of the most fascinating fabrics I've found in a while. The blouse is the piece I need to work more as I want to try a different fabric and pattern for it.
It's nice to be working on some girly outfits again. ^___^
It still needs some tweaking as usual, but I am very happy with the result!

5138 one of the last Volvo Olympians left in shires is seen passing by the Mall on Church Street (Luton) while working staff shuttles back to the Luton depot. This vehicle is one of 3 Volvo Olympians still based at Luton others being 5139 & 5141, new to Luton and District in 1995.

Testing another PC35 AF-M, but an SE model this time, which has a different grip and lacks ISO toggle to set ISO on non-DX marked rolls.
Cameras works okay, focuses and exposes well, but flash doesn't work. Also, although I cleaned a battery leak, power contact is lost occasionally, so I have to remove and re-insert batteries. Therefore, I ended up taking the battery door from this one to replace a missing door on another PC35 AF-M, so now I have 3 complete, fully-working units, and one mostly-working unit.

To get the shot I used my black background and set the magnet with the pins on it, the camera was had held so I could work the different angels. The flash was set to 1/4 so not to over expose the image.
2xSB600 in 24x36 softboxes at 1/2 power camera left. Vivitar 285HV at 1/2 power on seamless. Fired using Flashpoint triggers.
