As of the end of 2023 :
☛ There are 83 fire stations, 41 ambulance depots, six fireboat stations, two sea rescue berths along with a diving base strategically located to provide emergency responses for all areas within designated response times
☛ The FSD has approximately 10,740 uniformed and 761 civilian members.
☛ The FSD has 719 operational fire appliances
☛ The Ambulance Command operates 457 town ambulances, 2 Paramedic Equipment Tenders, 41 Emergency Medical Assistant Motorcycles, four Mobile Casualty Treatment Centres, four Rapid Response Vehicles and six mini ambulances.
☛ A fleet of 26 vessels provides firefighting and rescue services within Hong Kong waters.

Dedication to service motivated more than 40 students to trade in their first full week of summer vacation to help others. The high schools from across the Diocese of Saginaw are nearing the end of the week-long service camp, Youth Encounter Service (Y.E.S.). Youth and leaders worked on three houses in conjunction with the One Week, One Street urban revitalization effort. Their efforts along Ezra Rust Avenue included painting siding and walls, repairing porches and roofs and replacing windows. Sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Saginaw, Y.E.S. allows high school students to learn about and fight poverty through the perspective of Catholic social teaching. Participants stayed at St. Stephen Parish Center in Saginaw, where evening activities included guest speakers, prayer and reflection.

“The Ontario Provincial Police say a 10-year-old boy from Beamsville was pronounced dead in hospital after a three-vehicle collision on the QEW in Lincoln.
Emergency services responded to a vehicle collision around 5:30 p.m. on the QEW, eastbound near Tufford Rd.
Police say a grey vehicle was approaching slowing or stopped traffic and crashed into the rear of a white vehicle in the left lane.
This collision resulted in a chain reaction as the white vehicle was pushed forward into another white vehicle directly ahead of it.
As a result of the crash, a 10-year-old boy was extricated by emergency services from the first white vehicle and was taken to a trauma centre where he was pronounced deceased around 9 p.m.
The driver of the first vehicle, a 31-year-old woman from Mississauga was not injured and remained at the scene.
The driver and additional passenger of the second vehicle, a 44-year old woman and a 10-year boy from Beamsville, along with the driver and passenger of the second vehicle, a 37-year-old woman and 10-year-old girl both from Milton, were all taken to hospital with minor injuries.
OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt says they are investigating the crash, noting roads were dry and was visibility clear.”
