I like the sharp lines and dark flat surfaces contrasting with the curves and colour of this Japanese tea pot. The tea tastes good too!

And there I was thinking that we'd seen the last of the Hydrangeas for this season.
But no, they're still going strong and I rather liked this one.

This beautiful bird is actually one of a pair. They visit once a fortnight or so to take a bath in our backyard pond so I thought I would get my camera ready just in case. I love their colours. I believe this is the crimson rosella and is common around Eastern Australia.
