I want to upload more things here, starting today.

In recent times I've been really picky about choosing single "signature" images to share, in an effort to chase favs and explore.

However, that approach is unsatisfying.

I accumulate a huge backlog of images that I truly like but don't post anywhere. The amount of keepers I get is quite high, and I want to share more!

If people look at them or not, I'm not too bothered either way. I'm doing this hobby as something I love and the results must be allowed to get out there.

Sunset last night in Roanoke,Va. Whenever I see the scalloped type cirrus clouds like this it reminds me of fish bones :-D

Comments always appreciated, as long as you keep it clean - I love to hear your feedback! xx

A night in - nothing fancy, not even a dress tonight! But I did mess about with my coloured LEDs and had my disco ball going, so I had a bit of a dance.

Please leave a comment if you fave, it is lovely to hear what you think of my pictures! xx

A quiet night at home.

Well this is probably the last time this year I'll be getting shots of butterflies! It's really starting to cool off...especially in the mornings...bums me out when summer ends and my garden is over...sigh! Nothing left but anticipation of winter! No apple crop this year either...had such a huge crop last year it must have needed a rest!

Based on true story...

Sunrise at Gray's Lake, Des Moines, Iowa in late Sept. '08.

I've been motivated by Don3rdSE's photos of nearly the same vantage point. I knew I had several similar shots but nothing interesting. I finally picked one out and spent some time with it in my digital darkroom. This is the best I could come up with.

Time to get ready for winter, it's September after all

4 Days! We are packed and ready to go. It was quite a feat because we are not only packing for a trip but also packing for a wedding. Here is my something old, new, borrowed and blue, all of which will be attached to my bouquet. "Old" is lace from my mother's wedding dress (my grandmother sewed tiny pearls onto this lace by hand!). "New" is the ladybug and four leaf clover charms on the bottom left, a tribute to Adam's grandmother (she loved ladybugs) and my grandmother (we always searched for four leaf clovers together). "Borrowed" is my mother's circle pin in the upper right, given to her by my grandfather. And for "Blue", blue ribbon!

Bye, there'll be more Alice spam later in the week though ;) xxx
